I really love animals! As an owner of 3 pets and many many house plants, I understand how stressful and difficult it can be to go away. I'm really happy to look after your pet and will send you lots of updates and photos so you know your pet's in the best hands. I particularly know how tricky it can be to get pets to take their medication, so don't worry I've got your back there. Your house plants and garden will also be in very good hands, as I do pride myself on having a green thumb.
I will also visit you and your pet(s) before you go away if you'd like, so you know they're comfortable with me. I'm also a car driver, and I'm surrounded by beautiful scenery so if your dog needs walked they'll get plenty of fresh air and exciting smells. I grew up with a dog trainer as a Mum so I'm very confident in offering training on my visits as well if you're in the process of teaching new tricks or house training!
I work part time so am often available during the day when others might not be. For each visit I'm happy to stay up to an hour, so your pet will get company and a good play or cuddle, whatever they'd prefer. A walk can be however long is right for your pet - 15 minutes up to 90 minutes. I have a dog I walk regularly who has arthritis and needs to be taken in a dog pram, which I'm also really happy to do.
I grew up in a house with dogs, guinea pigs, snails, lizards, fish and birds so I'm pretty confident with most animals! Very little surprises me. I currently have two geckos and a cat, and I help out a neighbour with her tarantula.
I have a PVG and a DBS and have worked with vulnerable children and adults in care all my life. I'm trustworthy - promise!
