Hi I'm Heather, I’m a rescuer and foster mum for Bristol Rabbit Rescue and Friends. I've worked in veterinary environments in the past - particularly emergency care - and have always had a huge soft spot for bunnies in particular.
I have four house rabbits of my own, and often another rabbit/guinea pig/small animal in the house through the foster caring I do.
I spend a lot of time with my partner's dog, too! Wilson is a cockapoo with a great hairdo. What I offer is a personal service and home for your baby/babies. I’ve also done a lot of cat-sitting for friends and family in the past.
Whilst I cannot house dogs or cats, I am happy to host bunnies, piggies or other small animals in my home whilst you’re on holiday. I am proficient at giving subcut and oral medication, looking after sick animals on long term medication and catering for special needs.I understand that not every small animal wants to be cuddled and picked up! Instead I'm happy to hang out, give nose rubs if they want - or just sit with them for a bit.
I am happy to walk and spend time with your bigger animals (dogs and cats!). I love going on long rambling walks - especially on weekends - so if you'd just like a little help with taking your doggo on a walk every now and again, I'm more than happy to oblige!
As a pet owner myself I know the importance of knowing your kids are being looked after. I will send regular pictures and videos, give in depth updates and of course take them to any veterinary appointments needed. I love animals, and I love how pets are just the extension of a family.
