I've been walking a beautiful golden retriever for about a year, at the moment about three times a week. I've been walking her since she was a puppy so have a great connection with her. We go out for about an hour and get rid of all the extra energy she has by playing with sticks and sometimes going for full runs together. She can be a real challenge at times so I've had to be involved with how the family are training her to keep her behaviour improving. I've also recently been doing some home visits for a deaf cocker spaniel who's very sweet. Although I have a job in a good restaurant in the west end, dog walking and dog care makes me so happy I really want to pursue it as a career.
My own dog (Bobo - staffy/lab cross!) has been my best friend for the last 7 or 8 years. He was a rescue dog with wild staffy energy who over the years has turned into the most gentle and interactive dog I've ever known. He normally goes out with a group of dogs for walks but has recently had an operation and been more house bound - seeing him struggle with the boredom's drilled in how important both exercise and companionship are in keeping a dog happy.
I can offer dog walks (or runs!) and home visits. I love all dogs from mad pups to gentle older dogs and am always happy to meet more :)
