**Please Note: Due to some recent incidents I'm only able to provide walks for dogs over 7kg(15 lbs) if they are thoroughly leash-trained and non-reactive.**
I started pet sitting for friends, family, and coworkers while at university studying for my teaching degree and just never stopped. I've looked after dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, fish, frogs, rabbits, and farm animals. I'll even look after your pet snake if you need, but no tarantulas please! I'm available for walks/visits at any hour and house-sits of any length if you let me know ahead of time. I try to be as flexible and accommodating of your and your pets' needs as I can.
I understand that all pets have different personalities and needs, and strive to take those needs into account whenever I make a new furry friend. Coaxing pets to take medications, cuddling with a scaredy-dog when it storms, and wearing out a hyper pup are all part of the fun.
I always like to know about any medical conditions a pet has before I care for them so I can better anticipate their needs and be on the lookout for any problems. I also like to know about their behavior around other animals and people so I can be prepared for any aggression/fear they might suddenly display and keep them happy and safe.
I have a soft spot in my heart for cats, Staffordshire/Pit Bull Terriers, and Tibetan Spaniels, but I love all kinds of critters.
I'm located near Midsummer Common, and can do house sitting, walks, and home visits most anywhere in Cambridge.
I will give your doggo a roughly 30-minute walk in the area you/your dog choose. If you need a longer walk, just let me know and we can work something out. I can also feed your dog or any other little things you might need within a 30-40 minute window.
This is a 30-minute drop-in visit to your home and pet, no walks included. I'm happy to play with your pets, feed them, water plants, clean litter boxes, and open/close blinds or turn on/off lights to make it look like someone is home. Discounts given for multiple visits a day.
I will come stay at your house overnight and love on your pets. Walks are included, as well as general care of your pets and home. Generally stays are from the evening of the first night you book until the afternoon of the day you arrive. If you need me to arrive before noon and stay late until you arrive an extra night's fee may be charged. I will generally stay most of the time at your home, and won't leave for more than four hours at any time. A discount can be given if you only need me to stay overnight and not during the day as well (especially good for cats).
Heather is a fantastic cat sitter and our rather grumpy cat loves her. This makes leaving him so much easier. We receive lots of pictures while we are away and it is a real comfort. I would thoroughly recommend her.
Heather looked after our cat, hooky, for 3 days and she was fantastic. She came round and met me and Hooky beforehand. Then while we were away she kept me updated with texts and photos to reassure everything was fine. I have returned home today to find she has washed the bed linen, towels, watered my plants and have a very happy cat. I cannot recommend her enough, a real pro.
I've recently moved to the UK from the USA, and as part of my visa process was thoroughly vetted by the UK government.
