My name is Liam and I'm 26 years old. I came to Pawshake upon realisation of something that I have always been passionate about, and something that's always been a source of comfort for me personally. That something quite simply, is a love of pets, and all animals really. I've been unemployed for a few months now after going from one unfulfilling job to another, and I wanted to find something that actually interest me and engaged me.
It seems these days there are lots of apps for this but when I came across Pawshake and I read all the really great feedback people have given them it seemed like a great place to start, and what's more I can even offer house sitting which is something I've always enjoyed doing for friends wether it's for dogs,cats or guinea pigs and rabbits.
I currently live in the centre of Cardiff on busy City Road so sadly I can't offer a space to keep dogs. But it's a short bike ride to many parks I know so well, I regularly walk Frida (my brindle Lurcher) around Victoria Park,Thompsons Park and Llandaff fields and know many of the people there.
Walking - Walks would normally be around 1-2 hours doing laps around the park with stops for play. But of course this depends on the dog, and if it's very warm then I will always bring water with me. Dogs will be kept on leads at all times unless specified by owners.
Home visits/Sitting - I've only ever house sat for friends/family but no complaints yet! I recently house sat for a friend of mine for 4 days, but I would say I can reliably offer 1-2 days sitting and more than happy for daily visits for feeding or just a bit of friendly company.
