About Elissa
Hello, we're Elissa and Andy! We live in Hastings, East Sussex with our Staffordshire Bull Terrier Dottie, and seven fancy mice! I set up Elissa's Pet Care back in London in 2017 as more of a part time job, alongside working in animal rescue, but decided to persue my dream full time when moving to Hastings in June 2021. Andy gave up his career as an Electrical Engineer to come and work alongside me in March 2023, and he hasn't looked back since! We currently provide services such as dog walking, cat sitting, and small animal visits in Hastings and the surrounding areas. We are both fully insured and have valid DBS certificates.
I am a genuine animal lover and I have worked with animals for 10+ years. I have lots experience of working in animal rescue enivorments and was a Cattery & Animal Welfare Supervisor for the RSPCA for four years. I then worked as an Animal Carer for Wood Green, before landing an amazing role as a Pet Bereavement Advisor for one of the UK's leading pet crematoriums. Both Andy and I have grown up around animals and have lots of experiences with all different species. We are used to being around all different sizes and temperments of dogs, and we love taking our current doggy clients out on group walks where we can!
The main areas that we cover are Hastings, Ore and St Leonards, but please feel free to get in touch if you're a little further away, as we're always happy to help out if we can.
