I am a huge animal lover, who began dog walking in my local community when I was 10 years old. I quickly progressed to dog sitting and dog boarding at home, which I continued to do over the next 8 years. In the years following, I became very mobile, however, I then returned to a position where I could offer loving care again.
Growing up, I owned guinea pigs and chickens. I also cared for numerous neighbours' cats and fish whilst they were away. I always take my friends' dogs on walks whenever I have the opportunity, and will play with and care for their pets for hours when I visit/stay with them. I really can't wait until I am in a position to own my own pets again, and I will treat your pets as though they are my own - I have a lot of love to give to all types of animals!
I used to horse-ride when I was younger and spent lots of hours volunteering at the stables, where I was surrounded by all sorts of animals. I have also volunteered at an animal shelter in the USA, taking dogs on walks and playing with them and the cats. I love being outside, and spend a lot of my time walking or cycling. I also love to draw and paint animals- I've uploaded some photographs of some of the paintings that I've done.
I am a teacher and have a valid disclosure. I also spent two summers working abroad at children's summer camps in the USA, where I was lucky to have close contact with many dogs who lived there too!
I can feed, check water, and offer lots of love and affection and company. I can offer day visits and also stay at yours. My day visits are for 30 minutes and I can visit once or twice per day. My husband (an animal-lover too!) has often looked after pets with me and I will often ask if you are happy for him to join me so that we can give your pet(s) double the love. However, if you or your pets would not be comfortable with that then we completely respect that. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions, and I am happy to meet beforehand! I really hope that you feel happy in reading all about me and my experience, and know that I'm really excited to meet you and your pet, and to give him/her lots of love, care and affection!
Please note: Because I am a teacher, I unfortunately cannot look after your pet during the day on a weekday in the term-time. Holidays, however, are an entirely different matter! Update: I am currently on maternity leave, so term times are possible at the moment too.

Bonnie and family were brilliant with Roxie - so brilliant, she wasn't sure about coming home, haha! I can't recommend enough. Thank you!
Bonnie and her partner were amazing and super communicative and helped us while we were travelling with our dog Lemmy and watched him for an evening. Lemmy was very calm and happy and felt right away at ease it seemed. Thank you
My first dog care role: regularly did two dog walks per day, on average lasting 30-60 minutes, however sometimes longer or shorter as requested. The dog would be walked on or off the lead, as specified by the owner and also depending on the circumstances. When necessary, I was responsible for feeding and ensuring the water bowl was full. I bathed the dog when required, or dried with towels after a particularly wet walk. I dog sat both at the owner's house and my own house, spending lots of quality time with the dog. I formed very strong bonds with the dog, and the owner agreed that he basically became my dog too. I even entered him in local dog shows, with the owner's permission of course! He was very well loved, cared for and exercised, and was a very happy dog! I really love to be outside and love walking, so your pet will get lots of exercise!
I have cat sitted. I spend lots of time playing, and ensure that they are well cared for and happy.
I have had chickens and guinea pigs of my own. I can let your chickens out in the morning and put them to bed at night, clean their coop, feed and water them.
