Hello! I've recently moved back to the UK from Amsterdam, NL and am currently living with my partner in Stoke Newington. We both work from home, myself in research/anthropology and my partner in film/production. I've had a fascination with animals my whole life, from cats and dogs to guinea pigs and hermit crabs, and have spent almost 10 years pet-sitting through Pawshake in London and Amsterdam.
Professional Experience: I've worked in a dog and cat shelter in Bahrain (BSPCA) for 2 years, also fostering dogs with health or behavioral difficulties during this time. I was also a volunteer at London City Farm, where I handled a variety of domesticated animals. Perhaps most importantly, I was once studying to become a veterinarian at the Royal Veterinary College of London, meaning I've participated in quite some animal handling courses and take the health and wellbeing of all animals very seriously.
Our Flat: We live in a 2 bedroom flat on the 3rd floor of an apartment building in a gated cul-de-sac. We have direct access to a large communal garden and are within 5 mins walking to two large parks (including Abney Park which is a dog walking haven). The flat is close to Stoke Newington overground.
Services: Because I work from home, I will be with your pet the vast majority of the day. My boyfriend (see the last photo) is also a big animal lover and has been helping me pet-sit for the last 2 years. All this to say that between the two of us, your pet will very rarely be alone. For dogs, I offer 2-3 walks per day of up to 1 hour each, in addition to as many short toilet break walks as necessary. Because we live in a flat with a communal garden, there is lots of safe & fenced space for pets to explore (supervised). Any pet guests will have the run of our flat and are welcome to sleep wherever they are comfortable (including our bed). I have also done many house-sitting stints in the past and happy to continue to do so. I only take one booking at a time so your pet(s) will always have personal care.
Feel free to send me a message if you have any specific queries, I'm flexible and here to help! Unfortunately, I am less flexible with my time than I used to be, so I will likely be unable to accept last-minute bookings (e.g. bookings that start the day of or the day before).
NOTE: While I do offer pick-up/drop-off, I currently do not have access to a car in London. If your home is within 30 mins walking distance, or a relatively straightforward public transport link, I am more than happy to pick-up/drop-off. This will vary from client to client. I'm open to discussion.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Brilliant - Isabelle made life easy ! Def ask her to sit Lune again
Isabelle did a lovely job of taking care of my cats last week. She was thoughtful and considerate, kept in touch with updates and photos, and dealt comfortably with their routines and different personalities, as well as the challenge of a sudden heatwave! She left the flat spotless, and the cats seemed cool and happy when I got home.
