Hi Pawshake Community, 

My name is Laura and I am a pet sitting enthusiast. I grew up in California in a house that was typically referred to as a zoo (my mom's instagram handle is our surname+zoo). No we didnt live on a farm, but we were a home for many pets. We had cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, beared dragons, fish, iguanas, frogs, etc. My mother has always loved animals and now I am guilty by association. 

In London, I am frequently the pet sitter for friends (mostly cats) which I thoroughly enjoy as I like to have animals around. I don't have any pets of my own currently, so I am always keen to pet and house sit for a friend. I decided it would be nice to increase my 'animal hang out time' by signing up for pawsahke instead of waiting for my next friend to go on holiday :)  

I work full time as a nurse but I am available in mornings and evenings, and then on weekends. I don't get grossed out by much so any animal care that is required does not bother me in the slightest. As long as it is coming out of an animal, it is way cuter then a human. As a nurse too, I have helped with giving medications and injections to friend's and family pets.
