I spent the last year dogsitting in Berlin and want to continue in Oxford.

In Berlin I had dogs stay with me, went and looked after them at the owners' houses and also sometimes just took the dog for a walk in the park. I looked after all sorts of dogs with different personalities. Some were perfectly behaved, but a lot of them had certain difficulties. For example, one dog had a bad experience with a man as a puppy and would sometimes bark at random men in the street. Another one was quite timid and it was up to me to create an environment for her in which she felt comfortable. I was able to address these specific traits well and ensure the dog had as good an experience with me as possible.

The most important thing for me when dogsitting is to develop a good relationship with the dog. The dog needs to be able to trust the person looking after them. I develop my relationship with a dog by playing with them often and rewarding them for good behaviour, whilst making sure that the dog (at the very least) respects me enough for me to safely look after them.

I attended several dog school classes with my parents and their dog. I also signed up for doguniversity access and have learned a lot from their videos, especially about developing a relationship with the dog.

I can offer dog walking services, home visits and home sitting services. Dog walks are for an hour and I can come to your home to pick the dog up. Home visits are around half an hour. I can do one or several per day, depending on your and the dogs' needs. My availability is in the late afternoons/evenings during the week and the whole weekend. When with the dog I will give them the love and care they need - playing with them, brushing them and, of course, giving them lots of cuddles! I am also very happy to implement and practise any training exercises you want me to, both inside and outside the home.
