Hello there! I am a veterinary student at the Royal Veterinary College and am in my final year and I graduate in July of this year!!! Right now I am interested in specializing in Emergency Medicine for small animals. I am an "international student" from America and I live in the UK full time. I have one hamster named Henry with me right now. My family has two dogs back home in America that I miss and I facetime with them on occassion.
I have been around animals my whole life, whether it was my own pets, other people's pets, or wild animals at rescue centers. I have worked in and around the veterinary field for around nine to ten years now so I have a lot of experience with pets in all different types of situations. I started out in a kennel that was attached to veterinary clinic while in high school. In high school I attended "trade classes" and became a certified Veterinary Assistant. I left my job in the kennel and attended Virginia Wesleyan University and graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Biology. While in university though I internshiped at a zoo and a tiger rescue. During the summers I would work as a veterinary assistant and a pet sitter. After graduating university I took a year between university and vet school to work at an emergency veterinary clinic and a wildlife education center.
Now that I am in veterinary school I would like a way to hang out with pets and make some money on the side as well. I can offer dog walking, feeding, play time visits, and overnight "sleep overs" with your pet. I do know how to bath and brush dogs but I am not a groomer but if you want your dog bathed then I can do that. Unfortunately my current place does not allow pets so I would be going to your house for the visits and I don't have a car either. I know how to give medications if your pet requires medications.

Katie was a great Petsitter for our two bunnies - they generally don’t like strangers and have previously been a bit stressed after other people have looked after them, but we came back to find them calm and contented! Katie was in touch every day with pictures and updates and we were able to enjoy our holiday knowing our pets were being well taken care of. Really couldn’t recommend her enough.
As usual, Katie was extremely professional and a caring, excellent pet sitter!
