Looking after other people's pets is a responsible undertaking which I understand completely. My own pets mean an awful lot to me so I would treat everyone's like my own.
All the pets I have cared for in the past have been rescues, whether in the UK or overseas. My present cats were both picked up as tiny lost kittens and I brought them back from Spain in my car. My dog who very sadly is no longer with me, was an 18-month-old gun shy hunting dog, dumped on a British Urbanisation in Spain starving and very emaciated. Bess was sadly 16 when she passed away and I tried very hard to find a miracle cure to keep her with me. So I care very deeply for both cats and dogs and have rehomed many in the UK, Malta, Singapore, and Spain
Concerning cats I try very hard to reassure and calm them particularly if they are nervous and highly strung. I've tried to take on as much information about their psychology as is possible so that when their owners are away they have a positive experience. So much nicer in their own familiar territory and surroundings.
I have transport and can provide a pet sitting service within 6 miles of my postcode. This includes Kirkcaldy and the
East Neuk of Fife but not St Andrews.
This is an area of natural beauty with lots of lovely walks both sea and countryside. However, if a particular area is prefered I am happy to oblige and walk the dogs where they are familiar with the terrain.
Because I am in my seventies I am unable to walk large dogs. Sorry, they are just too strong for me.
