My name is Claire and I am a 21 year old Veterinary Nursing student currently living in Livingston.
I am currently taking a year out of my studies and would love to take on caring for pets even in this time off, for enjoyment as much as expanding my skills.
I love animals but cannot have any at the moment as my older brother is allergic to them! I fully intend on adopting pets (plural) when I move out but in the meantime I would love to be able to enjoy the company of some furry friends.
As well as my university experience I also have also looked after my uncle's Shih Tzu who is at the ripe old age of 14 as well as house sat my friend's rabbit and kitten as well as another friends cat, all pictured in my profile. I have also previously owned rabbits, guinnea pigs and a budgie and am familiar with their care. I currently volunteer at a charity working with horses and ponies, so size does not often phase me - regardless of my 5'1 stature.
I indend on offering to house-sit various pets including those who may require an extra bit of care or may be considered 'special needs' in regards to their health. I do have knowledge and experice in a veterinary practice and I am trained in areas such as giving injections and medications.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
I am currently taking a gap year from studying Veterinary Nursing at Edinburgh Napier University. I have worked for a total of a year in a veterinary practice and have cared for animals with various medical conditions including diabetes, epilepsy and kidney failure. I also am familiar with various special diets which are implied or have suitable resources to research anything required.
I currently hold a certificate of Higher Education in Animal Health as well as a Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
