My name is Ricky, I’m 36 years old, I have always worked since the age of 16 in customer service and business management, I run my own business also selling online. I have also been professionally pet sitting for years.

I enjoy the outdoors and exercise, especially hikes across the fields and through woods, I have always had a passion for animals and wildlife and use any excuse to be around the two.

I live with my partner, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 tortoises and a reef fish tank with corals.

I have spent my whole life around pets and animals, enjoying nothing more than looking after them and seeing them grow and flourish. While I like all animals, I love dogs and cats, dogs are perfect for walks in the outdoors which I do often, and cats are great company especially when purring away. I am also very good at reading dogs and walking them with great control while using positive reinforcement.

As well as all of my pets, I have also looked after many types of other animals over the years such as hamsters, birds, snakes and rabbits. I have pet sat professionally for many people, I look after them exactly like they were my own and I am very diligent and careful. I am a fully trained first aider, while this is for humans I know how to adapt the principles to animals, such as bandaging any injuries etc. and have a lot of experience with my own when it comes to first aid and giving medication etc. I am able to spot slight details in behaviour changes to alert me to issues early on.

Pet sitting services:

Dog walking:

I am usually free Monday-Friday, 6pm-11pm and all day Saturdays or Sunday.

I usually provide 1 hour long walks. I can walk them for longer or shorter if you wish. I am available any time of the day and any day of the week. I will come to your home to collect the dog/s and return them when the walk is complete. I will walk them locally near your home, and if you have any specific route or areas to avoid I will also do the same. I always walk dogs on the lead and will never let them off the lead. I am great with large breeds or dogs that pull, I am always in control and correcting the dog in a positive manor, I would never be harsh to them. If any other dogs approach I always try to avoid contact by crossing over non busy roads, or by moving clearly to one side and waiting till they have passed. I also always carry my mobile phone and a spare lead in case and problems arise.

House visits:

I can work any time Monday-Sunday. I will check all animals are ok, feed and water them, administer any medication, clear up any mess outside or inside and also give them whatever play time/exercise/walks they need/want. I usually take dogs out for walks longer than they need as I get carried away walking. I am willing to undertake any reasonable requests when house visiting such as watering plants or putting out rubbish etc.

House sitting:

I can stay in the home from the moment you leave, until you return if you wish. As with a house visit, I am perfectly happy and reliable to house sit and make sure the pets are well looked after and the home is kept secure. I probably would not even need to leave the property depending on the length of the stay. I am also happy to undertake any normal house chores such as cleaning up, watering plants, and putting out rubbish etc. I understand that it can feel intimidating to let a new person into your home, I would always like to meet in advance of a house stay this way you can get to know me well and ask any questions and I can do the same. I have a lovely personality and am a very sociable person, you will get to know me well quickly. I can even bring my own pets along so you can see they are well looked after.
