Woof woof,
I’ve just relocated to Birmingham during the summer after living in Hackney for the last 10 years where I was a primary school teacher. Since moving I’m taking a break from working in schools. 50 hours a week was too much. I have been focusing on music. I’m in a synth-pop band with an old teacher from work and have been running an online record shop for the last two years. My studio is based in King's Heath.
Apart from music, I have a passion for cycling, table tennis, and photography. I’ve enjoyed exploring some of Birmingham’s hidden gems and am excited about the future.
So far we have loved our time in Birmingham. It is the polar opposite of London. People actually talk to you on the street.
I would love to get a dog with my partner now, but are the situation is not right. Our flat is too small and we have got two house rabbits (Enrique/Sooty) who rule the house. They have now been promoted to the penthouse and will be living in a dog-free zone upstairs. Once we have completed our year's tenancy we are planning move to a house and get a puppy of our own.
Living in Kings heath I have close access to Highbury, Moseley and Canon Hill Park. Depending on your wishes I will usually take the dog for an hour's walk.
I have been brought up with dogs my whole life including labs (Bess/Jimmy), retrievers (Peggy) and border terriers (Elvis) and have taken many of them to dog training.
I have been on countless walks with them and have always enjoyed the outdoor space as much as them. I am happy to play with there preferred toy and will ensure they are knackered by the time we have finished.
As far as sitting. I’m flexible and have my studio at home. The dog will remain downstairs with me. I also have a roof terrace that the dog can keep back and enjoy. I will follow any training techniques that you use and will keep clear boundaries within the house. Once they have been on walks and met some new mates it will be time for the dog to have a snooze and chill before taking them on the next adventure.
My girlfriend works nearby at Moseley hospital and when she is not on shift we will all be playing together.
