My name’s Sarah and I’m an Aussie who’s recently moved to Kent countryside from London. I’m currently studying a Diploma in Canine Behaviour and Management and volunteering at a local dog rescue home.
Growing up in suburban Sydney, my home felt like a zoo! We had everything from dogs, to cats, birds, fish, rabbits and even a tortoise called Shelley. My love for dogs began at a very early age, my first dog was a Wire Haired Fox Terrier called Quinn. Then was Nellie, our rescue Weimaraner Cross, who as a kid I would walk at our local park. We now have two dogs; Ruby, another Wire Haired Fox Terrier, with a big personality! And our Chester, he’s our gentle giant and a Kelpie Cross Greyhound. So as you can see I love dogs! I’ve grown up being surrounded by all different breeds and temperaments and spent a lot of my childhood and teenage years taking care of my favourite canine buddies.
Nearly seven years ago I made the permanent move to UK. Setting up home in a little flat in central London. I worked in hospitality and retail management but my heart was always wanting to work with dogs. My husband and I made the move to rural Kent last year, I quit my job in London and started studying Canine Behaviour and Management via correspondence. I also volunteer at a local dog rescue home.
I feel my genuine love for dogs, combined with my experience, would make me an easy choice to look after your special canine family member! I live in a semi-detached home with my five month old puppy Freddie and a medium sized, fully enclosed garden. I am also surrounded by fields and walks.
