About Luka
Hi! I'm Luka, 25 years old, living in Edinburgh. I have experience working with a range of pets, from cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes, to a very aggressive Guinea pig, and even fish. I enjoy getting to know each one as an individual, learning what works for them and what needs they have, and helping them to be the happiest, healthiest pets - as that's what they deserve!
I grew up with 2 cats and border collie/springer spaniel mixed dog, and greatly enjoyed her energy, helping to train her as a puppy and make sure she was comfortable in old age.
I currently live with my own tuxedo cat, Freddie, who I spend much time with, playing and cuddling.
I have also volunteered at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, where I got to meet and interact with many dogs and cats of varying characters.
As Freddie is a very fussy cat, I'm not able to offer boarding for pets, however I am more than happy to come to your homes to care for pets there, overnights included. I have a car, so travel is not an issue, and means I can give your dogs extra long walks! I know of quite a few good trails just outside Edinburgh for more adventurous dogs.
I usually work through the day Monday-Friday and am free on weekends. I can be flexible sometimes though depending on what you need. I'm more than happy to stay with your pet at home or take them out for an adventure - I can even help with taking care of plants or other little tasks!
Also confident to administer medication or help with training/grooming, if you run me through what's needed.

Luka looked after our 5 dogs and 1 cat. The dogs all present challenges in different ways; some medical, some behavioural. When cared for and the behaviour managed appropriately they thrive and that's exactly what we got with Luka. Such a fantastic and caring person who managed our tricky pack as well as we do. Would 100% recommend Luka to other pet families. We also got lots of updates and pictures. Communication was just amazing when it was most needed to ease our nerves so we could really enjoy our time while knowing our beloved pets were safe, happy and cared for by Luka.
Luka was absolutely amazing at looking after both our cats. He sent pictures and videos of them both while we were away, and they looked very happy and playful with him! We came home to clean litter trays and happy cats, would definitely recommend Luka for a dependable and kind cat lover!
