About Sarah
I grew up always surrounded by pets at home and we had several dogs which were my best friends. I recently was a proud dog mum to two lovely but sometimes a little naughty rescue greyhounds! Sadly we lost them both in their old age earlier this year. I am not in a position to adopt again at the moment, but am missing the happiness and joy dogs can bring to our lives. This is why I have set up a Pawshake profile, to help out with your furry family
I have experience with anxious and needy dogs, as well as dogs who are not happy around other dogs, people or other pets. I am understanding, patient and caring and understand that all dogs are different and have their own quirks and funny personalities. I have carried out training with my own dogs, including basic commands but also helping with some behavioural issues and would be able to offer some of this experience to training. I'd be happy also to do some basic dog maintenance e.g brushing fur and teeth. I will get to know your dog and your requirements, and could house sit overnight at weekends, or bank holidays if needed. I would be able to also some basic house chores like watering the plants if I'll be there anyway, and would spend time with your day giving them plenty of fuss!
My availabilty for dog walking would primarily be weekends in the day or weekday evenings as I do work Monday to Friday, usually in the office. On the weekend, or weekday evenings I can dog sit or walk your dog, and will only take on one dog at at time (unless from the same family), so your dog would have my undivided attention (as it should be!).
I am based in the NewTown/Stockbridge area of Edinburgh so at the moment would be available for only fairly local dogs - but happy to meet more! Walks would mostly be short walks around the city, but if your dog needs longer walks we could go further to Inverleith Park or near you and do some running around and play fetch etc.
