A South African import, I am desperate for more frequent engagements with dogs and cats. Leaving my two Labradors and old Staffie behind when I moved over earlier this year was harder than saying goodbye to the humans, so I am simply looking to spend more time with animals and less time doing things that don't bring me as much joy. There are no official pet-sitting services in South Africa, so I don't have prior experience except for the odd favour for a friend or family friend and the fact that I have grown up around dogs and cats since the moment I was born. I have no preference for any kind of dog or cat, even the fussy ones! I just want to be in the company of a furry friend to help with my withdrawals from my doggies back home.

I adopted a ginger male shorthair last year who became my emotional support cat and fur child as I lived independently and worked from home. Otherwise, I have grown up with Labradors, Staffies, a Great Dane, a Jack Russell (who thought she was the size of a Great Dane), a Maine Coon, and my adopted street cat for the last 28 years. I will treat your pet like they are my own, I will beg for them to sleep in the bed with me if you'd prefer for me to stay at your house, and if they stay with me in my apartment in Putney, they will be loved, walked, and spoilt — you can hold me to it.
