Hi there !
We are Ralph and Camille, aged 27 and 28 and both working professionals living in Morningside, Edinburgh. We absolutely adore dogs but due to our passion for traveling, we don't believe it is the right time for us to have a dog of our own. Dog sitting has definitely been great for us as it allows us to have companions for a little while, and we love to give pet owners a break so they can go relax as well and leave their dog in safe hands. It's basically a win-win !
Dog sitting:
We dog sit for Camille's colleagues who own two dogs (a 7 year old and a 15 year old) and who go on weekends away from time to time. One of them is very old, deaf and partially blind so needs oral medicine and carpetted floors which we are able to provide.
We will always stick to dogs' schedules and will be happy to update the owner regularly. We love to walk dogs and play with them. The great thing about us being a couple and living together is that our schedules complement eachother, so if one of us is busy one morning, the other one will be free, and if Camille ends up finishing later than planned, Ralph will usually have his afternoons free!
A bit about us:
Camille: I am French and British working as a venue manager about 10 mn from our flat. I have had dogs (and all sorts of animals) my whole life. Unfortunately my furry friend lives with my parents back in France but absolutely love to take him on walks and give him lots of love. The great thing about my position is that I work my own rotas so if I need to come in late one day or leave a bit earlier another, it isn't a problem at all.
Ralph: Scottish from the borders, my family owns a farm so I've had plenty of experience taking care of animals. I work in the city centre and my work pattern is usually three days on, three days off, giving me a lot of free time!
Location:
We live in a one bedroom flat on the first floor with a lovely fenced communal garden in Morningside. We are a minute's walk from a large dog-friendly green area in which a lot of dog owners/walkers take their dogs which makes it very simple for a morning and evening walk for our dog visitors. We also live around a 10mn walk away from Blackford Hill, also great for a long walk and occasional swim! Our secured communal garden also allows dogs to have a wee break and our neighbours are all very accepting as many of them are dog-owners.
We also have a vet a minute's walk away which is always reassuring for pet owners.
Your pets will be guaranteed a lot of attention from us, and always free time to take them out for a lovely walk !
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
This was our first time away since COVID and it wasn't easy for my dogs being away from us, in an unfamiliar environment.
Camille was absolutely wonderful. She kept in touch with us and went above and beyond to support our dogs (and us).
Highly recommend her and will definitely use her service again.
Camille and Ralph took such wonderful care of our greyhound, Arnold, while we were on our honeymoon. We met them a few days before we dropped him off to make sure they were a good fit for Arnold and vice versa, and we felt totally comfortable leaving him in their care.
He's an elderly dog with a few health issues, and they were not at all daunted by the special care he needed. We received lovely photos of Arnold throughout his stay with them, and were reassured and comforted whenever we got a bit emotional about having left our old boy behind.
I absolutely cannot recommend Camille and Ralph enough. They are warm, wonderful people. We are so grateful to them for making things as smooth and easy as possible.
