Hi! I'm a fourth year English Lit student at the University of Edinburgh, who's missing my own pup like crazy.
I have a boisterous Norwegian Elkhound at home, and until last year had a wonderful cat who I grew up with (she unfortunately passed away due to old age). They're both pictured! I trained Loki, my dog, and was his primary caregiver for five years prior to coming to university, which has given me lots of experience in dealing with strong-willed, high-energy breeds. Loki is also rather reactive, so I'm quite used to dealing with dogs who perhaps aren't great with other dogs and need a firm hand at times. I also absolutely love cats, and miss my cat, Peppermint, so much, for which reason I would be delighted to take care of your cat and ensure they're getting lots of love and attention while you're out of town :)
I also have lots of experience with dog-walking and dog-sitting. I have taken care of many pups, with differing levels of reactivity and size. I've walked everything from Pyrenees Mountain dogs to French Bulldogs, and in between! I love all dogs big and small, and my favourite places to go include the Pentlands, Blackford Hill, and the Braid Hermitage, however I'm equally happy taking a less energetic pup on a leisurely stroll around the Meadows. For dogs who like water and swimming, Portobello Beach is also a hit.
Included in my services are dog walking, pet-sitting, and home visits. I also do dog boarding, wherein I will do my best to ensure your pup's utmost comfort and happiness within my flat. Please note, however, that I generally do not take dogs for more than a couple of nights at a time, so as to maintain my work schedule and flexibility in my final year of university. Unfortunately, I am usually unable to accept bookings for dog boarding for periods of over three days for these reasons.
For home visits, I will feed your pet, and spend around thirty minutes per visit interacting and playing with them, to break up their day. I live in Marchmont in a flat with access to a garden. When I pet-sit within my own home, I will always keep a pet in my presence and ensure a safe environment with no dangerous foods or plants to chew on in the area. Dogs would be taken out to the garden for loo breaks, and would be walked twice a day for a day-longer/multi-night stay. I have three other flatmates, two of whom have dogs at home, and all of whom are massive pet people and who love to come on dog walks with me.
I also love small pets, such as hamsters and even pet rats, and have taken care of lots of such animals in the past. I've also owned a bearded dragon and bunnies in the past!

Frankie has been amazing with our Cleocatra - the photos made us feel so much better when we were away and she went above and beyond!
Frankie was very patient with my standoffish cat, would definitely recommend and book again!
