After recently finishing 5 years studying veterinary medicine at the University of Surrey I can safely say I have a real passion and love for animals! Before starting my job in London in September I am looking to help out anyone that needs house sitting or dog walking around South London.
I have previously boarded guide dogs whilst their owners have been away so I am used to meeting all the requests of the owner and ensuring the dogs were well cared for. My days can be relatively flexible and I am happy to spend at least a couple of hours with your pet on a visit if you'd like me to! I think pets always appreciate that extra attention and social time so am keen to do this where possible. During this I'm also happy to complete any small jobs you may have around the house like watering the plants if you are away. Depending on the dog and how fit they are I normally aim to walk for around an hour but again can discuss with you with what you see as appropriate! I have also helped to look after a range of patients over my years of studying so would feel confident in caring for any pets that may have a few extra needs or need any special medications to be given! As well as dogs I have also previously house-sat for cats and had my own hamster and stick insects as pets which proved to be the best companions. As well as doing placement in vet practices I've also volunteered at the RSPCA for dogs, cats and reptiles. During this time as well as doing lots of walking I learnt how to approach dogs that may be a bit unpredictable but also learnt exactly what each animal needs on a daily basis.
I think I'd be lost over the summer without seeing any animals so I'd be really keen to do any sitting or walking for anyone that needs some! Don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested and let me know if you have any questions :)

Emily did a fantastic job for us - she was responsive and friendly throughout & built a great rapport with our little yorkie straight away.
10/10, thank you Emily!
I was rather anxious as this was the first time of having someone to pop in on our puppy. But Emily was reassuring and communicated very well up to and after dropping in. She also followed all instructions to the letter and sent photos and videos whilst she was with Bamboo. Will definitely recommend.
