Hi there, my name is Barbara and I'm an animal-loving Master's student here in London!
Back home in Australia, I have a beautiful dog (Brody, a doberman mix) and gorgeous cat (Cleo, a tabby). In fact, I've grown up never without a pet, whether furry or feathered. I have worked with animals since I was an adolescent, as a stable hand and a horse-riding instructor, and even spent a short period of time as a volunteer vet assistant. So I am comfortable and confident around animals of all shapes and sizes.
My dog at home is a rescue with a rough behavioural past, but training him has taught me how to handle nervous, shy, reactive, and sometimes even aggressive personalities. If your dog has any kind of issue in that regard, we could see how we fair together after a meet and greet and go from there! I understand that some dogs react differently to different people.
Since moving to London I have really missed my pets and would love to play a part in someone else caring for theirs!
I am currently living in the West End, right by Hyde Park (doggy paradise!) and with plenty of smaller, dog-friendly parks nearby. We are very lucky to live in a city that takes pride in creating little green oases! I can cover any area around the city centre.
While I unfortunately can't have any pets in my own flat, I have experience petsitting overnight and would be happy to look after your pet in your own home while you are away!
I have class on Wednesdays and Thursdays but am available all other days for your convenience! Look forward to meeting you.
