Hi, my name is Chris, a 31-year-old country-turn-city young professional living and working in London. I love animals; however, living in London in rental accomodation, I am unable to keep any myself. The closest I get to having animals is to help with my brother's Staffie, or with my mother's Alsation. I have also recently spent 6 weeks dog-sitting a friend's labradoodle. I really enjoy that time but unfortunately it's fairly rare. I work in healthcare, I volunteer and keep myself active and busy.
I am lucky in that my dad is a retired vet, and was interested in every animal under the sun, and who would bring home injured/rescue animals for the family to look after until either we could find them another home, release them, or until they died. I am used to feeding, watering and cleaning after a plethora of animals from ducks and chickens, dogs and cats, fish, monkeys, ferrets and snakes, etc. I therefore am quite comfortable with most animals I am presented with, and I just miss not being able to share my life with any here in the city.
I live and work near several big parks, and I am a keen outdoor-enthusiast, doing some running and cycling. I also have the luxury of being able to work remotely and somewhat flexibly if needed. From my brother and a couple of friends, I understand how difficult it can be to have a pet in London, and to have someone who is able to pop in and help relieve the stress of making sure their pet is safe, happy and comfortable; I would be glad to be that support for you if and when you need it.
