My passion for animals grew since I was four years old, having always grown up owning lots of pets. These range from chickens, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits and dogs. Currently I have two guinea pigs, two rabbits, two chickens and a German Shepherd dog.
Recently I completed a degree in Biological Sciences at the Royal Veterinary College. This gave me the opportunity to focus on biology in relation to animals as well as animal behaviour, welfare and ethics. Additionally I have carried out work experience in a variety of animal settings including veterinary practices, farms, Birdworld, Millbrook RSPCA, Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue Centre and Scallywags Dog Daycare Centre. Consequently I have experience with caring for a vast array of animals in different settings covering farm animals, wildlife and domestic pets
I am now undertaking a gap year and would love to be able to work part time looking after your pets before applying for post graduate study. Personally, I always worry about my pets whilst I'm on holiday. Having someone to look after them who is reliable is of the upmost importance to me. Therefore I hope I can take this stress away from pet owners in looking after their pets!
