Hello, my Name is Paula and I am currently studying at Southampton Law School.
I have been surrounded (and made sure I was surrounded!) by animals my whole life and have a love for them I would like to continue to put to good use. I am the biggest animal-lover I know and do not ever tire of the joy of meeting and spending time with new animals.
I have been volunteering with the charity Cinnamon Trust for a year, walking dogs for those unable to do so themselves, and I have absolutely loved the experience. However since moving to Southampton they have not been able to find any placements for me here. I would love to be able to continue meeting new animals and kind people and help care for your pets. Aside from the enjoyment of being around pets, I am also comfortable with the high level responsibility of caring for others' animals and visiting their homes, and do not for a second underestimate how much care, awareness, responsibility and attention is required, due to how precious our pets are to us all.
I have cared for friends' and family's dogs, cats and small animals, including very large strong dogs. I myself own a 7-year old Rescue Lurcher called Rosie, who has brought me endless joy despite her quirks!
I am aware that I am not a professional pet sitter or dog walker, but have worked on farms and at livery yards so have experience with handling and working with animals professionally, despite having never worked for a pet-sitting service before.
I am happy to offer dog walking, home visits and pet sitting at your home, including overnight and longer stays, adjusting to how you choose for your pets to be looked after, their quirks and specific routines. I am flexible with weekdays and weekends, as well as odd hours and last minute needs. I am happy to offer one-offs or regular services.
