Bank Holiday is here and all we’re dreaming about is Sunday lunch or brunch in a local pub or coffee in a cosy cafe. The good news is your pooch needn’t stay at home and miss out on the fun!

Here are some of our favourite dog-friendly dining spots around Manchester to inspire your next doggy date. Feel free to add your local in the comments and we’ll add it to the list – there are so many to choose from in canine-crazy Manchester that it’s hard to choose where to begin.

Pet-sitters and dog walkers - we can’t think of a better way to have your next meet and greet…can you?

Kosmonaut

10 Tariff St, Manchester M1 2FF

This fun, colourful and spacious hangout is one place where the friendly staff will fawn over your pet and maybe even slip them a treat. Best to visit with your pooch before the music gets loud after 9pm!

Brew Dog Manchester

35 Peter St, Manchester M2 5BG

With a name like this you can only assume the best…humans can enjoy a pint or two of craft beer while your pooch can enjoy plenty of water and pats.

Ezra & Gil

20 Hilton St, Manchester M1 1FR

Cool, contemporary and welcoming, Ezra and Gil is the perfect place for a lazy brunch with your dog by your side.

Ginger's Comfort Emporium

Afflecks, Church St, Manchester M4 1PW,

For those of us humans with a sweet tooth, you can’t go past Ginger’s Comfort Emporium – our mouth is watering just thinking about their ice cream flavours! And luckily they often have treats for their canine guests on hand.

The Beagle

456a Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M21 0BQ,

Another name that bodes well! The Beagle is a cosy pub loved by locals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And of course your dog is most welcome!

Marble Arch

73 Rochdale Rd, Manchester M4 4HY

A historical gem with a wonderful atmosphere – you can enjoy a cosy meal (their cheese menu is to die for!) while the staff slip in some pats and treats for your best furry mate.

Jacksons Boat

Rifle Rd, Sale M33 2LX

This sweet old pub is the perfect spot for a spring day, located right next to the Mersey and the Trans Pennine Trail, with cycle hire and its own football pitch. They hold doggy events during the summer and even have treats and dog-beer for sale!

Horse and Jockey

9 Green Chorlton, Manchester M21 9HS,

A bright, friendly and welcoming space for lunch and dinner - and we’re happy to say, this place also provides pats for your best friend and, of course, dog-beer.

Nip and Tipple

197 Upper Chorlton Rd, Manchester M16 0BH

There’s always something fun happening at this vibrant restaurant, and fortunately your pooch will be welcomed with open arms to join in the fun!
