ABOUT ME
I've cared for animals my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and a parrot. These little guys miss you while you're gone, so I'm happy to throw a ball around the garden, dangle a string, or whistle a tune while also keeping their meal and medicine routine as normal as possible.
My speciality is rabbits, particularly house buns. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them do a flop or binky. In emergencies, I'm also trained to recognize signs of GI stasis and have experience administring critical care with a syringe.&nbsp;
I am certified in Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ).
WHY PET SITTING?
I'm already helping my wife, and her business is taking off. So, I'm committing full time. And believe me, giving extra pets and playtime to your furry friend is a lot more fulfilling than my former 9-5.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
I've assisted on 11 pet sits in Bristol since my wife started her business in May, caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, winning over skittish cats and befriending the social ones, gaining the trust of two loveable buns, giving some shell scratches to a tortoise, and becoming a duet partner to a cockatiel who adores being the center of attention.
Two of those visits involved medicine, including one where the pills needed to be swallowed whole, not with food.&nbsp;

At Bertie and Nic boarding,  it's like having home to home comforts. All dogs are treated just like they are mine own.
Dogs have the run of my property if they want to sit on the sofa, I don't mind, and night times, they are more than welcome to sleep on the bed with Bertie and me.
My property is very quiet, all dogs go on 3 walk per day if they are able to do this, I do sometimes  go of in the car with them and find new places for them.
20 yards behind my property, we have a lovely walk with a nice stream and loads of trees. Not close to any roads.
I have always loved dogs, and this is now my dream job.
I am registered with South Gloucester Council for Boarding, also have dog first aid and dbs check and insured.

My love for animals started when I was a child. I grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and rabbits. Rescuing and caring for animals has always been an important part of my life.
Later in life I worked as a veterinary assistant, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals and understanding their needs.&nbsp;Over the years I have also regularly helped friends and family by looking after their pets, making sure they are comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away.

We have used Pawshake previously to look after our two adored cats. Through our positive experience, we are keen to offer this service to other cats and owners in our area (North Bristol). We know how important it is to have peace of mind and be reassured that our pets are being well looked after while we are not at home.
I have many years of experience looking after dogs and cats for friends and family. Feeding, walking and offering cuddles if wanted. When I was younger I travelled around the UK and Canada, house and pet sitting, both dogs and cats. This is one of the best jobs I've ever had.

If you're looking for someone for regular dog-walking, especially if your dogs are high energy and require multiple hour walks, or if you're looking for someone for day-time sitting I'm your guy. I will not do off-lead walks until I am comfortable with and trust your dog.
I do not have my own vehicle currently and so I am only offering walks local to your home. I am willing to travel to reach you. My rates are set to allow me to make minimum wage: my walk services are £12.25/hr, with my minimum walk time being 1hr (pawshake takes a 25% cut).
