For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Blackrod for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Blackrod Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Blackrod sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

All animals are welcome, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges. With over seven years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of pets, I am truly passionate about providing the best care possible for your furry friends. Growing up with two energetic Border Collies taught me a great deal about exercise, training, and understanding dog behavior.
Additionally, I have cared for an abused rescue Border Collie with behavioral issues for seven years, which has deepened my patience and skills in handling sensitive pets.
I’ve also cared for a disabled cat for six years, giving me valuable experience in providing specialized care and attention.
At one point, I cared for up to 10 lively cats at once—an experience that required patience, dedication, and lots of love. Those cats now live with my parents, so my home is currently pet-free, ensuring a calm and safe environment for your pets, especially if they prefer to be the only animal around or don’t get along well with others.
I am highly motivated to ensure every pet feels happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, I’m dedicated to making your pet’s experience as positive and stress-free as possible. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority!
Feeding schedules will be strictly followed as per your instructions—I won’t change their routine.
Walk lengths depend on each dog’s preferences and needs; older or less mobile pets will never be forced beyond their limits.
In case of any emergencies, you will be contacted immediately and my local vet is chorley vets (attatched to bretts pets and razs ark).
Im available most days as i only work 8 hours a week (shift work so i can only know 2 weeks in advance).

Hi, my name is Mo, I've worked with dogs most of my life, and I adore them all. I am not scared of a challenge at all, and do great with nervous dogs. I treat them like my own and have a lot of patience with them.
Your dog will feel loved and cared for whilst in my care, and just to give yourself peace of mind.
I keep you up to date with photos and videos. Your pet will never be left on their own, and whether they sleep in a crate or bed, they will always be by my side,
I have a 2-year-old Rottweiler who is a wonderful boy, extremely friendly and loving, and is great company for dogs that like a lot of play, he is also just as good with older dogs or nervous dogs, as he backs off when told to, and gives the dog space
I also have a 15-year-old Lhasa, and 4 cats.
My daily routine would be taking the dog out for the first walk of the day, usually the park facing my house, then back home for breakfast.
My back door is usually always open, so the dogs have the freedom of a large garden which is completely enclosed, the dogs have the freedom of most of the house, and sometimes feel better following me around lol.
I also do a teatime walk, then back home for the evening meal. I allow the dogs the freedom of lying on the sofa by myself, or in their own bed, whatever helps the dog relax. At bedtime, the dogs are always next to me, whether it's on their own bed, or my bed. Be assured your dog will never be at risk of escaping, especially in my garden, which is completely enclosed with a 7-foot fence.
I will always make sure I have your vet's details at hand in case of emergency
Mo

I am DBS checked, fully insured and qualified in dog first aid and CPR.

All dogs booking in boarding within my home need to be up to date with fleeing and worming.
Caring for pets is an essential part of my weekly routine, and it's something I'm deeply passionate about. As a pet owner and professional, I know how important it is to keep pets happy, healthy, and engaged throughout the day. From daily dog walks to extended pet sitting sessions, my schedule revolves around making sure each pet gets the personalised attention they need.
Whether it's an early morning walk, afternoon playtime, or evening cuddles, I dedicate time every day to ensuring your pets feel cared for, just as I would with my own
When caring for pets in my home or in a pet owner's home, my top priority is making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. In your home, I follow your pet's routine closely, ensuring they receive the same care and attention they're used to, from feeding schedules to playtime and cuddles. I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering plenty of affection and one-on-one interaction. When caring for pets in my own home, I create a calm and welcoming environment, providing ample space for them to play, relax, and feel at ease. Whether in your home or mine, I ensure pets are happy and well taken care of while you're away.

I’ve always had a passion for animals. Growing up in a home full of pets, I quickly learned how to take care of them and understand their needs. From feeding and grooming to playing and walking, being around animals has always been natural for me. Over the years, I’ve also helped friends and family by taking care of their pets when they were away on holidays. I made sure their pets felt safe, loved, and well cared for, no matter how long they were gone.

To gain even more confidence and skills, I completed a course in pet sitting and dog walking. This training taught me about animal behavior, safety, and the best ways to care for pets in different situations.

I treat every pet I look after as if they were my own, giving them lots of love, patience, and attention. Whether your dog needs a walk, your cat needs company, or your smaller pets need daily care, you can trust me to make sure they’re happy and comfortable. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away and keep your pets safe, healthy, and loved.

Let me know how I can help you and your furry (or not-so-furry) friends!

As an active person who loves animals, my daily routine is centered around long walks, fresh air, and quality time with pets. I walk around 10 kilometers a day, but I always adapt the activity level to suit each animal’s needs. Whether it’s an energetic walk, gentle playtime, or quiet companionship, I make sure every pet gets the care and attention they require to feel happy and comfortable.

I have my own home with a fenced garden. My dog is friendly with other pets. I also have a spare bedroom for boarding dog or cat. For safety reasons, it’s important that the dog or cat is able to sleep in a separate room at night. This ensures a calm and secure environment for both the pet and the caregiver. It’s crucial to create a safe space where the pet can rest undisturbed and without any risk, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

About me

My name is Kam, and I’ve cared for dogs for over 8 years. I’ve also volunteered at dog rescues in Hong Kong, where I gained experience walking, feeding, and supporting dogs of all kinds. I’ve studied calming signals, dog first aid, and grooming basics, and I continue to learn more to provide the best care possible.

Experience & motivation

I’m motivated by a genuine love for animals. As the proud parent of two rescued dogs, I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pets with someone else. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and those with special needs. My goal is always to provide a safe, happy, and loving environment where dogs feel at home.

About our services

We offer a loving, safe home environment for dogs, providing boarding and daycare with plenty of care and attention. Services include feeding, walking, playtime, and supervision. We can also administer oral medication if needed.

Capacity

We board up to 3 dogs at a time (including our own two resident dogs), always ensuring compatibility and safety. Dogs from different households are only boarded together with written owner consent.

Dog walks

Walks are usually 30–45 minutes, adjusted to each dog’s age, energy and health needs.

Two walks per day are included, with extra play sessions in the garden.

Time with pets

We understand how important companionship is. Dogs in our care are never left alone for more than 3 hours during boarding or 1 hour during daycare. Between my husband and me, one of us is always at home or nearby to supervise.

Daily routine & availability

Dogs become part of our family routine, with morning and evening walks, feeding, and plenty of play and cuddle time. We coordinate our schedules to make sure dogs get lots of attention and care every day.

Home environment

We live in a detached house in Birchwood, Warrington, with comfortable indoor space for dogs.

Our household includes myself, my husband Herman, and our two friendly dogs: an older husky mix and a golden retriever.

Guest dogs can sleep in the living room or a quieter separate space, depending on what makes them most comfortable. Owners are welcome to bring beds, crates or blankets.

The garden is fully fenced with brand-new solid panels and a lockable gate, ensuring safety and security at all times.

See you soon!

Hello everyone! I have lived happily with a variety of animals my entire life from dogs like Eric and Bruce ( Father n Son ) golden retriever team, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, and an array of birds due to my fathers avery in our back garden, (you name it we more than likely owned it.)I have just returned to the area so I thought I would set up my own local private pet care service which I did previously whilst I was living abroad for the past two years.I live in a perfect location now for walking pets, with close proximity to heaps of trails and parks.I can travel further afield if needed for pet sitting/pet transport which will include a maximum of 3 walks of 30 minutes to an hour-long per 24 hours depending on your pet's needs.I also offer pet visits between 30 minutes and 1 hour in duration dependent on pets' requirements. I was sad to leave my last job and all my four-legged friends I provided pet care for and I can honestly say it was the best 2 years on a job satisfaction front I have ever had! (hence I want to continue this passion now I am back in the UK)Please feel free to contact me for a free meet and greet to discuss a little more in detail both your and your pet's needs . I promise you will receive the most attentive and enthusiastic animal care possible for your pets as I just love being in the presence of all animals big, small, old & young, energetic and chilled. Thanks for checking my profile and I look forward to possibly hearing from some of you soon!

I have always loved animals and growing up I always wanted to be a vet. I had hansters and fish when I was young, then we got an orange tabby cat and he was my world. He was the best family pet and we never replaced him. I then would look after friend's and family's animals. I met some wonderful dogs through "Borrow My Doggy" and gained lots of experience walking dogs and pet sitting them in my own home with some overnight stays thrown in! I enjoy it so much, it's such rewarding work and your pet will be treated as part of our family as we love all animals. Our son who is 16 months old loves dogs. Whenever we see them out on our walks he gets so excited and starts woofing! I have experience with cat sitting as well, looking after friend's cats while they've been away on holiday. Making sure they are clean, have clean litter boxes if they're used, fed, have clean water, are given lots of strokes and scratches under the chin and even cuddles if they let me! To work with your animals is a dream come true, I couldn't think of a better office!
For dog walking, firstly I will arrange a meeting in a park that's good for us both and bring some treats so I can make a new furry friend quickly. Tell me what they like to do on walks, where you usually go, anything I need to be aware of e.g. are they allowed off lead, how is their recall, any breeds or other animals to avoid etc. If I'm cat or small animal/bird sitting, I'll meet you in your home and you can run me through their daily routine so I can keep them as happy as possible and so they can get to know me as well (I'll bring treats!). I'm more than happy to do a couple of meet ups and visits depending on your pet's needs/temperament etc. When you go away please leave me your vet's number, their out of hours number, your emergency contact and, show me how you administer any medication if required.
I will take up to 2 dogs from different households or the same household on walks, walks usually last around 45 mins to an hour, whatever your dog normally prefers and I can do 1-2 walks a day per dog. My favourite places to walk are Farington Park, Worden Park and I can take your dog to Salmsbury Secure Dog Run for an extra fee.
In an emergency I am pet first aid trained so can administer basic first aid if needed. I will keep you up to date on everything to do with your pet when they are left in my care via text or WhatsApp.
I am fully DBS checked, have a full clean UK driving licence, and certified in dog and cat first aid.
Please note: due to having a young child at home all pets must have their up to date vaccinations. Thank you for your understanding.
