When the sibs and I were growing up we lived in the countryside, and we were always surrounded by lots (and I mean lots!) of dogs, so I guess you could say I've learned a thing or two about how to care for the furry friends.
Nowadays, living in a city, having lots of dogs is not really an option, but I still very much enjoy the company of a trusty furry friend, and so does the wife!
We get to look after some of the family pets every now and then. And we've enjoyed the pet-sitting so much that I've decided to make it official and create this account on pawshake, so that we get the chance to hang out with furry friends more often, and you guys get yet another option for someone who will look after your beloved furry friend in the same way you would.

I’ve always loved dogs - ever since I was a child, they’ve been a huge part of my life and a real passion of mine. I understand their needs and the importance of providing attentive, thoughtful care. I regularly look after friends’ dogs while they’re away on holiday, so I’m very used to caring for dogs with different routines and personalities.
We have our own dog, Maya, who is 16 years old and still in amazing shape. She’s very calm and enjoys her own space, happily pottering about and minding her own business. She’s friendly and gentle, but at her age she’s not a fan of very boisterous puppies, so I’m best suited to dogs who are relatively calm and comfortable around other dogs.
I also have hands-on experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, where I helped care for a variety of animals including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, birds and cats. I volunteered there weekly for several months, gaining valuable experience with different temperaments and care needs. Unfortunately, due to the distance and fixed volunteering times, I wasn’t able to continue - but it was a very rewarding experience that deepened my love for animal care.
We live in a beautiful countryside location with endless walking opportunities right on our doorstep, with fields starting just outside our house. I offer at least a couple of walks a day (or more if your dog prefers), alongside plenty of time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We also have a large, fully enclosed garden where dogs can play safely and freely.
I have two school-aged children (10 and 11) who have grown up with our dog and are fantastic with animals. They understand boundaries and treat pets with kindness and respect, helping visiting dogs feel safe and at ease.
I work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day. I aim to provide a calm, safe and loving environment where your pet can feel completely at home.
To ensure every dog gets the attention they deserve, I only board one dog at a time unless they come from the same household and already know each other.

Hey there, my name is Rebecca! I'm a 27 year old vet student and pet sitter.
I have lots of great experience with a variety of species through my vet training and life in general!
I have been involved in both the cattery and dog shelter of the Galway SPCA. I also worked closely with small mammals, and rescued my colleagues from a loose ferret once! I discovered a love of sighthounds in particular and always really enjoy working with them.
I have been casually pet sitting for the past five years, until last year when I began using another app that was popular in my area. I had several regular dog visit/ walk clients - new puppies to the more mature. I am happy to do on and off-lead walking, where appropriate and safe. I will follow instructions on whatever training you are working on with your pet. I am confident administering medication. Unfortunately, I cannot accept very strong or difficult to handle dogs due to chronic back pain.
I would be keen to build a trusting relationship with any pet I care for and strive for respectful and honest communication with pet owners.
I give pets my full attention and aim to leave them tuckered out but happy! I send a detailed update after my visit including some photos. I'm always careful to include any concerns.

 Please Note:
House Sitting: I am not currently staying overnight in client’s houses. This option is suitable if you would like to have me sit with your pet during the day/evening, while at work or socialising. Please get in touch to discuss! 
Boarding/Day Care: I live in an apartment which has a small balcony and unfenced patio space - suitable for quick potty breaks. There are lots of easily accessible nice walks in the area for longer exercise.
Walks: Available to pick up/drop off and supervise visits to local secure dog paddocks.

I have taken care of dogs for many years! I grew up with a Tibetan Terrier who we had for 15 years and since then have walked dogs and looked after dogs!&nbsp;
I love being outdoors and being around dogs and animals so really looking forward to being outside more with dogs :) I also own 2 cats as well :)
I work full-time but from home, so I am able to be flexible with my schedule! I schedule my own work so can take them on walks and out when needed! As I have two cats I would not be able to have your dog in my house but I am very happy to stay in your home to make your pet feel as relaxed as possible. I am very clean and tidy!


I love pet sitting and I love meeting peoples pets and animals, hanging out with someone's cat or dog is always the highlight of my day if I'm privileged enough to do so. As my photos show I will jump at any opportunity to stroke or say hi to a cat, give a dog a squeeze or any animal interaction at all really. 

I've had cats my whole life and am well versed and really good with dealing with them aswell as dogs and I can almost guarantee that your pets will like me as much as I them. 
I'm happy to look after pets in other peoples homes, overnight and only in the day whichever is preferred,and also in my own with enough notice. I will feed and properly give attention to pets and to any special needs that they may have. 

Some animals who require round the clock attention may be unsuitable as I do work however please inquire if insure and we can work it out :) 

I’m currently living in Clifton working full time. I'm in between working at home and in the office. I love getting out in the fresh air and it would be great to have some company when I do so. I regularly look after an Australian Labradoodle 
A bit about my dog history! I’ve had a Cocker Spaniel called Buster since I was 15. Since moving to Bristol, he has remained at my family home in Cornwall (I really miss him!). Quite often I will dog sit him and as he is very energetic (and sometimes naughty!), I take him out on long walks and make sure I play with him lots!
I’ve also dog sat for various families and friends over the course of long periods (feed, bathe, walk and of course play!). Also, over lockdown I helped walk a dog who’s owner was shielding at the time, taking Hettie to nice woodland areas such as Leigh Woods. 
I’ve previously worked at a zoo and enjoyed spending lots of time with the birds farm animals. I also love cats and have had several hamsters and bunnies!
