For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Codicote for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Codicote Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Codicote sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I’m a lifelong dog lover who’s been lucky enough to share my life with two wonderful companions in the past — Duffy the gentle Great Dane and Kiedis the playful Boxer. Since losing them both, the house feels far too quiet.
I have a spacious home and a secure garden where a dog can play and relax, with a park a stones throw away. I love getting out for long walks along the river and back. I’d be delighted to offer a loving, safe, and fun environment for a furry friend — and to enjoy a bit of canine company again.
I'm unable to fully commit to my own dog due to working in London, so taking on dog sitting allows me to have the balance of both.
I can offer weekday evenings, Mondays and Fridays , along with weekends. Happy to take on last minute bookings! Looking forward to hopefully meeting your pup soon! X

Hi! I’m Veronika, and I’ve always loved dogs. Growing up with pets taught me how important it is to care for them with patience and kindness, and that’s why I’m passionate about pet sitting. I want to make sure your dog feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.
I live with my husband, but since I mostly work from home, I’m around a lot to give plenty of attention and care. I’ve looked after dogs for friends and family, handling walks, meals, playtime, and even medication when needed.
We share our home with Truffle, our energetic English Springer Spaniel who loves to play and cuddle on the sofa. She’s very friendly with other dogs, so I only take on pups that are dog-friendly to keep everyone happy.
For safety, I only look after fully vaccinated dogs. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I’ll make sure they get all the love and care they deserve while you’re away.

Many years of looking after my own (currently have my little boy Benji who is great with other dogs) and other people’s dogs, as well as volunteering with rescue dogs at a shelter abroad.

I’m a self employed artist working from home with my own little dog Benji who is great with other dogs. I have a completely flexible schedule perfect for taking the best care and giving attention to your much loved pup.

I have my super friendly boy Benji to keep your pup company. I live on a permanently moored widebeam houseboat with garden and decking area. Getting on and off is easy but I always take extra care with the dogs. The garden is secure and I’m in the perfect location for amazing walks in every direction from Hertford lock.

I typically take Benji out for 3 walks a day, two of which are nice and long. We are blessed with the most amazing location to go on the best walks without having to encounter roads in all directions. Back at home it’s a very relaxed environment, with lots of snuggles and playtime.

Hi, I'm James. Having recently gained more space by moving out of London, I am now ready to welcome more dogs into my home.
I have been a dog lover my whole life and have experience with a range of breeds and sizes. My job is fully remote, meaning I can fully dedicate myself to your dog's needs. I live near a range of parks, countryside and forests and also have a fenced back garden, meaning I can provide a range of environments for your dog to enjoy the great outdoors. I am also the proud owner of a friendly, well-trained and vaccinated Pomeranian-Spitz cross, Barney, who loves sharing his toys (and treats) with his furry friends.
Getting Barney was one of the best decisions me and my wife have made. The mutual love and companionship of a dog is immeasurable, as you will already know.
I currently offer walks, day care, home visits, sitting and boarding. My house has spacious rooms and a secure garden for the dogs, and because we are yet to decorate (excuse the red carpets ) nowhere is off limits! I have included some photos on my profile. The best nap spots appear to be sofa, the actual dog bed or, unsurprisingly, the king-size guest bed.
I would be delighted to look after your dog. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Animal lover! Offering you and your pet safe, fun , structured care based on your preference. I'll take your lead, you give me theirs! As a pet owner trusting someone to take care of your pet is important, but also having someone understand how important they are to your family dynamic is equally as important. Growing up in a family that always has pets, being around and taking care of them is second nature to me. I'm 38, married and a dad of two lovely boys (7 and 3) and a Cat called Piper (2 years old). I'm currently flexible Monday - Friday in the evenings after work and at weekends. I'm Available for stay overs, house sitting, walks only, sit- ins and general pet company as needed. I'm Not currently available for overnight pet boarding but happy to care for your pet at my home during the day as I also work from home frequently. We have a house with a large open kitchen diner leading into a large, fully fenced safe garden, plenty of room to run around and have fun. Based in Hertford in Hertfordshire. Lots of close by pet friendly parks and walks very local to me. Passionate about keeping fit I regularly sync dog walks with my routine and I care for our extended family's dog Sydney during the day regularly. Available for dog walks for various lengths of time as needed and multiple times per day where required. Up to 3 dogs at a time. Trustworthy and reliable. Please Feel free to get in touch!

I have the best job in the world, of having you trust me to look after your baby.
We are a family run business with over 13 years worth of petcare experience.
Based in Ware but cover most of Herts& Essex and surrounding areas
I have a 4* dog boarding license for East Herts Council, I am CRB checked and fully insured.
Basic dog training certification.
We have a wide range of services that we offer. Look at what we offer below
Dog Walking - Let us break up the day for your little one with a dog walk.
Puppy Let Out/ Let out services - Perfect for the pups who have not recieved full vacinations yet but you would like a stay & play and toilet break. Also works perfectly for dogs who are elderly and cannot walk to far anymore.
Doggy Daycare - At work all day? Do you have and all day occasion like a wedding? Leave your little one in my secure house and act like my own pet for the day. Dog walks and lots of cuddles included.
Dog Holidays - Such a nice alternative to a kennel. Have them roam around the house as a pet and have walks and lots of cuddles (on the sofa) all day. Nicer place to sleep with all their own home comforts rather than a cold, noisy kennel
Cat Feeding - A nicer alternative to a cattery. Keep your cat in their own home and allow us to come in and feed them from all their own home comforts. We are CRB checked.
Pet Feeding - Same as a cat feed but for all other pets.

Hi! My name is Mia and I’m 23 years old. I live in Howlands, Welwyn Garden City, in close proximity to Sherrardspark Wood, one of my go-to spots for relaxed, fun dog walks surrounded by nature!

I studied animal care in college and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I previously worked at Pets at Home for over a year, so I’m very confident caring for pets day-to-day. I’ve also pet-sat for lots of friends and family, and have looked after many dogs and cats through BorrowMyDoggy. I’m a huge cat lover myself and grew up with them, so feline care is something I’m super comfortable with!

I have two cats at my family home (not at my current address), so any pets I board will have my flat entirely to themselves. This makes it an especially calm environment for cats who prefer quiet, stress-free spaces.

Services I offer:
1. Dog Walking
30–45 minutes tailored to your dog’s energy level, whether that’s a gentle stroll or an energetic walk. Plenty of exercise, fresh air, sniffing time, and bathroom breaks.

2. 1x Visit a Day
Up to 1 hour. Perfect for cats, dogs, rabbits, or small animals. Includes feeding, litter cleaning, fresh water, playtime, cuddles (if they want them!), and company.

3. 2x Visit a Day
Two visits, ideal for cats who need medication, kittens who need more attention, or dogs that get lonely during the day.

4. Doggy Day Care
Supervised care in my home: walks, playtime, and plenty of company.

5. Boarding (Cats & Dogs)
Overnight care in a safe, comfortable environment. Cats get a peaceful, quiet space, enrichment, brushing (if they enjoy it), and all the cosy spots they like to explore. Dogs get walks, play, and plenty of affection.

Other pets (cats, rabbits, fish, small animals etc.) Happy to discuss needs and pricing separately.

I’m available seven days a week and happy to fit visits or walks around your schedule, just let me know what works best for you!

Please let me know in advance if your pet has any medical conditions, is elderly, requires medication, or needs any special care. I’m confident with all breeds, ages, temperaments, and species.

I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I’m thrilled to have this opportunity and can’t wait to meet you and your furry (or scaly!) family.
