For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Ellesmere Port for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Ellesmere Port Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Ellesmere Port sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi there! I’m Lori, a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver based in the Ellesmere Port and Chester area. My home is shared with my husband, and our beautiful 12-year-old Samoyed, Ellie.

My experience with animals is incredibly broad. I grew up in a home full of pets, caring for dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I also have extensive experience with exotic pets, including birds (ranging from lovebirds to intelligent African Greys), tortoises, and even hedgehogs. No matter what kind of pet you have, I understand their unique needs and behaviors.

Specialist Care & Skills:
Medication & Health Administration: I am fully confident and experienced in administering oral medications to pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs. I can also perform basic oral health care routines to keep your dog's teeth and gums clean.

Strong Dog Handling: Our sweet Samoyed, Ellie, can be a strong puller on walks, so I am very experienced and physically capable of handling and managing strong dogs who pull on the lead. You can trust that your strong dog will be kept safe and secure on our outings.

Senior Pet Expertise: Having a 12-year-old senior dog of my own, I have a soft spot for older pets. I understand the patience, gentle handling, and strict routines required to keep senior animals comfortable and stress-free.

A Typical Day & Routines:
Walk Routines: Dogs boarding with us enjoy at least two dedicated walks a day tailored to their energy levels, whether that's a brisk, secure walk for an active dog or a slow, sniffing stroll for a senior.

Sleeping Arrangements: Guest dogs usually sleep in our lounge or wherever they feel most secure and comfortable, mirroring their routine at home.

Time Left Alone: Because my weekends are highly flexible and dedicated to home life, guest pets are rarely left alone for more than 1–2 hours at a time, ensuring constant supervision, cuddles, and companionship.

Our Setup & Availability:
We have a large, spacious, fully secure, and enclosed garden that is perfect for safe outdoor play and sniffing. Because Ellie is a gentle senior, our home is best suited to hosting friendly, social dogs who enjoy the company of another dog.

I am fully committed to keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your beloved pet is in safe, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet you and your furry, feathered, or scaled family members!

I’ve been dog sitting for over 5 years and have cared for around 50 dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Every dog is unique, and one of my favourite parts of pet sitting is getting to know what makes them happiest so they can feel comfortable, confident, and completely themselves while they’re with me.
I have experience caring for energetic puppies, older dogs, and those who are a little more nervous or shy. I take a calm, patient, and compassionate approach, allowing each dog to settle at their own pace and building trust through consistency, kindness, and plenty of positive attention.
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I’ll carefully follow their usual routine, including feeding times, walks, medication, and any specific instructions you provide. Walks are tailored to your dog’s energy level, whether that’s a gentle 20–30 minute stroll or a longer adventure for more active dogs. I supervise pets closely, make sure they always have fresh water and a safe environment, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax while you’re away. If an emergency were to arise, I’d stay calm, contact you immediately, and seek veterinary care if needed.
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my priority. Before every booking, I make sure I understand their medical history, any existing health conditions, medications, dietary requirements, preferred veterinary practice, and emergency contact details, so I’m fully prepared if anything unexpected happens. Thankfully, I’ve very rarely needed to deal with emergencies, but on the occasions where a dog has become unwell in my care, I’ve stayed calm, monitored their symptoms closely, contacted the owner straight away, and followed their instructions while seeking veterinary advice whenever needed. I believe acting quickly, communicating clearly, and keeping your pet as comfortable as possible is the most important thing in any unexpected situation.
Because I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my aim is always the same: to provide a safe, loving, and relaxed environment where they feel happy, secure, and genuinely cared for, just as they would with family.

I work from home and been pet sit / dog walking for over years, usually taking bookings through referrals, Pawshake is as an extra platform I often forget to come and block my days That's being booked offline, so feel free to DM and check I loves all animals, but always having a special place in the heart for dogs. Everyday is a new experience when you meet new pups & for sure is never a dull moment, and there's never been a time in my life when I didn't have a dog. I have much experience ranging from puppy to senior dogs and I believe that it is important to take each pet's individual personality and preferences into account when caring for them, and lucky for me had some real guidance from the dog whisperer Cesar Millan in person and learned quite a lot from him of how to communicate with dog better, therefore, I'm proud of myself that I have befriended anxious dogs who usually fear humans and earned the acceptance of aggressive dogs. Animals tend to like me regardless of their personalities. I'm pretty flexible, so if your dog has any special needs, or if there's anywhere in particular you'd like your dog to visit, just let me know. Looking forward to meet you and your fur babies.

Flexible, trustworthy and attentive - I'm here to make life easier for both you and your pets.
It's imperative that your dogs can mix well with others as there will always be other dogs around.
