For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Livingston for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Livingston Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Livingston sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I've been around animals my whole life — caring for family dogs for over 8 years, cats for 3, and a rabbit for 1 - so looking after pets feels completely natural to me.
I'm currently a second-year vet student, which means I've got hands-on training in things like animal handling, behaviour, basic needs. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and stress-free, and I can spot early signs if something doesn't seem right.
On top of that, l've volunteered in dog and cat rescue centres for more than 4 years, where I've looked after animals with all sorts of personalities - nervous rescues, bouncy puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. I've learned how to build trust, calm anxious pets, and handle different temperaments with patience and care.
I'm also very active and love long walks, so your dogs will get plenty of fun and exercise!
I treat every animal like my own — full of love, attention, and care. Whether it's cuddles on the sofa, playtime in the park, or just keeping them company, I'll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you're away.️
I'm currently a full-time second-year vet student. I'm available for pet boarding and sitting on Fridays and weekends, and I'll have lots more time during holidays! During weekends or breaks, I'll be fully at home and can give your pet plenty of attention and company.
I have a fully fenced yard and no other pets or children at home, so your pet will get my full attention and care. They'll have a safe, calm space to relax and play in, both indoors and outdoors. Pets are more than welcome to chill on the sofa or cuddle up anywhere they like — I want them to feel completely at home!
I always make sure they're comfortable, well-fed, and happy, with plenty of playtime, walks, and affection. Whether it's in my home or yours, I'll follow your pet's normal routine and keep things just the way they like it.

I am delighted to offer my services to care for your beloved furry friend, whether a dog or another pet, according to your specific instructions. With experience in tending to special needs dogs and administering medication, your pet will be in capable hands. Having volunteered at a dog and cat center, I am available at your earliest convenience and am able to provide 24/7 care and supervision as I am mostly at home.
Dogs hold a special place in my heart as I have had a male black dachshund since the age of six. I find them to be loyal and playful companions who are always up for a cuddle. I am adaptable and possess a Disclosure should it be required.
Having taken care of both family and friends' dogs of varying breeds and ages, I am always interested in getting to know their personalities and behaviours. My personality is often described as calm, outgoing, entertaining, caring, fun, and curious. I am attentive to detail and strive to provide the best possible experience for everyone who enters my home. I enjoy taking walks and exploring the outdoors, but I also relish the opportunity to play with and snuggle your pet.
For me, spending time with a pet is far more valuable and therapeutic than any monetary gain. I live alone in a ground-floor one-bedroom apartment located in Edinburgh City Centre. With four gardens and parks nearby, including Holyrood Park and The Meadows, your pet will have plenty of space to roam and explore.
Offering a range of services available via Pawshake, depending on requirements. Please do get in touch to have a conversation and seek further details.
Many thanks.

I have always dreamt of becoming a dog walker since I was really young. I have helped friends look after their dogs before by taking them on walks, feeding them, playing with them and best of all, lots of cuddles and love.
I want to make sure your fur babies are as safe and happy as possible, I am willing to do all it takes for them to feel at home wherever we are. From walks to playing in the garden and I am also very active so I'd love for a little companion to join me on my journey. I think it teaches you a lot about yourself.
I have two cats at home but I can offer services at your home and overnight stays. As well as regular dog walks.
Please reach out to me with any questions or anything else you'd like to know!
I would love to meet you and your pets before looking after them, as I think it's very important we get to know each other, as well as your babies getting used to me too. As well as understanding their specific needs and what makes them most happy!
I am a lover of all kinds of animals - big and small. I will be willing to look after your pets regardless of who they are. I think it's very important that all animals are treated with love and affection.
I'd be willing to take care of your pets in their home, as well as taking dogs out for regular walks and toilet breaks.
I will be sure to regularly keep in touch with you to let you know how your pets are doing, as well as sending lots of pictures too!
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll also be sure to ask lots of questions too to make sure you're rest assured that your lovely animals are in good hands. :)

Hi, I’m Abbey️ a passionate and reliable pet sitter based in central Edinburgh, with 15+ years caring for my 2 dogs and 4+ years of hands-on dog walking & boarding experience across the city.
I have a background in veterinary studies, giving me a strong foundation in pet health, behaviour, and safe handling. I’ve also worked in pet hospitals and volunteered at animal shelters, caring for a wide range of animals, including those with medical or extra care needs.
Services I offer:

Dog Walking (tailored to your dog’s energy & routine)
Pet Visits (1x or 2x daily)
Dog Boarding (a safe, loving home-away-from-home, please message if you need further details of my flat)

Why pet owners choose me:

Calm, patient, and genuinely love animals
Reliable, communicative, and attentive to routines
Knowledgeable in animal health & behaviour
Walks can be a relaxed stroll or active, with fetching depending on your dog. I’m happy to keep things familiar or explore new places with your fur baby!

Availability:
I currently have a very semi-flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most weekday bookings, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Likely be easier if your pet is able to be at home by themselves for a few hours if I am away from home due to work reasons as I currently don't have a set WFH schedule yet.
Weekends are slightly more limited, but I can still be available with notice. I also have additional support at home from my male partner (who is also a veterinary student), which is especially helpful for boarding and ensuring pets receive attentive, knowledgeable care if you fur baby stays with us overnight.
️Feel free to message me to check specific dates — I’ll always do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs!
I always offer a meet-and-greet so you and your pet feel comfortable before booking.
Your pet will be treated like family Looking forward to meet you both

I am a student who’s grown up around animals and genuinely loves caring for them. I’ve lived with a dog for 5 years, a cat for 2 years, so I’m comfortable looking after pets with different routines and personalities. My daily care usually includes regular walks, feeding on schedule and making sure pets get plenty of attention and affection. I’m used to keeping pets happy, healthy, and relaxed as part of everyday life.
I live in a house with both a front garden and a secure backyard, which gives pets plenty of space to enjoy fresh air and play safely.
I decided to become a pet sitter because I really enjoy caring for animals and helping owners feel at ease when they’re away. I’m responsible, easygoing, and always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well looked after. I’m happy to stick closely to your pet’s routine and give them plenty of attention....

Hi
I'll tell you a little about myself so you can understand what I do. I've been a veterinary nurse for 4 years and I've also worked as a pet sitter for 2/5 years. I've worked in veterinary clinics and hospitals and animal shelters, so I have experience as an assistant in surgeries, applying and administering medications, performing dressings and other work of that nature. I'm confident in administering medication and treatments (oral, injections, subcutaneous fluids, wound cleaning, etc.).

My services:
• Frequent updates and photos/videos with every visit: I always make it a point to send a little update of your furry friend at each visit or during my stay to give you a peace of mind wherever you are
• A meet and greet before each booking: this gives all of us (including your pet) a chance to get to know each other better, and some time for us to go over your pet's routine together!
• Following your pet's routine: A change in routine can induce a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety for animals, thus I'll make sure to follow your pet's daily routine closely to make them as comfortable as possible while you're away.

I’ve always had a love for animals and grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and other furry friends. Even though I don’t have pets of my own at the moment, I’ve spent my life caring for animals and enjoying their company, and I genuinely love spending time with them. Every animal has its own personality, and I enjoy getting to know their quirks, routines, and little habits to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved! I welcome all pets into my care and aim to create a warm, fun, and comfortable space where they can feel completely at home.
Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, walks, or just quiet companionship, I make sure each pet gets the attention they need. I know how important pets are to their owners, and I treat every furry guest as if they were my own, giving them care, affection, and reassurance while you’re away :)
Experience and Services
Here’s what I offer to your furry friends:

Walks and outdoor playtime
Feeding and following any special routines
Lots of attention, cuddles, and companionship
A safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Administering medication if needed

My goal is simple: happy pets, relaxed owners, and a little extra love for every guest. :)

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and pets, and until recently I had my own much-loved black Labrador. I have now been running a small dog walking / pet sitting service for around a year and am very much enjoying it.
I provide reliable dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and other small pets. Walks are available as 30 or 60 minute sessions, tailored to your pet’s needs.
To ensure safety and one-to-one attention, I only offer solo dog walks (unless from the same household) and keep dogs on the lead. Walks take place in your local area, following familiar routes wherever possible. I am patient and experienced with nervous dogs and calm in an emergency.
I understand every pet is different, so I’m always happy to discuss individual routines and requirements. I can also help with small household tasks while you’re away, such as bringing in mail or watering plants.
I currently work part-time in shift work, so I have regular availability on Mondays, as well as flexibility for one-off bookings, ad hoc walks, and holiday cover throughout the week & weekends.
I am Disclosure Scotland checked, fully insured, and certified in canine emergency first aid. I am also currently completing a pet sitting and dog walking diploma.
Your pet will be treated like my own, with care, patience, and attention to their normal routine. I’m also happy to provide regular updates including photos for peace of mind while you’re away.
Home Dog Boarding Information
I am now offering home dog boarding. I am licensed by the City of Edinburgh council. I only board dogs from one household at a time so you know your dog is getting individualised care. Please take a look at my photos to get an idea of our set up. My children are school age and therefore any boarded dog would have to be good with children (the children are experienced with dogs and respectful around them). The children are always supervised when around dogs. If your dog would enjoy a stay in a loving family environment then please get in touch. All dogs must also be vaccinated and up to date with flea & worm treatments.

Hello! My name is Andra, a PhD student studying pollinators in urban green spaces at Edinburgh Napier Uni! While my research focuses on buzzing bees, my passion for animals extends beyond insects. I grew up surrounded by pets and farm animals. However, renting in Edinburgh has made it tricky to have pets of my own, so I’m excited about the opportunity to spend more time with animals through pet sitting.
I’m a sociable but introverted person, and I always seek to create a relaxing environment for pets.
With personal and professional experience in animal behaviour, I take the time to understand their individual needs and personality. I’m attentive to each animal’s unique needs and I’ll always prioritize your pet’s wellbeing above everything else.
I’m looking to grow my community of pet owners and provide a reliable and loving service.
Please do reach out. :)
