A little bit about me...
I am easygoing, but not at all a pushover. I like to think I have a firm but gentle touch, and have a good degree of empathy. Having worked with animals - from horses to cats to dogs to chickens! - my experiences of their psychology have stood me in good stead when making new four- (and two!) legged acquaintances.
I've always thought dogs to be some of the best judges of character and human nature, and honestly, you just can't hide your own true self from their animal instincts. They see, they know and they will make up their own mind about you whether you like it or not! As for cats, well, they are an enigma wrapped in a mystery drowning in a tub of Dreamies. Would we change them? Never!
So all I can say is, if I meet your dog/cat/chicken and they give their paw of approval, what better endorsement is there?


Hi! I’m Veronika, and I’ve always loved dogs. Growing up with pets taught me how important it is to care for them with patience and kindness, and that’s why I’m passionate about pet sitting. I want to make sure your dog feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.
I live with my husband, but since I mostly work from home, I’m around a lot to give plenty of attention and care. I’ve looked after dogs for friends and family, handling walks, meals, playtime, and even medication when needed.
We share our home with Truffle, our energetic English Springer Spaniel who loves to play and cuddle on the sofa. She’s very friendly with other dogs, so I only take on pups that are dog-friendly to keep everyone happy.
For safety, I only look after fully vaccinated dogs. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I’ll make sure they get all the love and care they deserve while you’re away.


I am an avid pet lover and I understand how important it is to know your pets are well looked after when you’re not around. My pets are family members and are well looked after and treated as an integral part of the family and yours will be too!Whilst working at Companion Care Vets, I was able to offer assistance in animal care, assist in operations, dispense and help administer medications, so I am well versed in the care of animals, especially those with additional needs. I was also able to offer my home to stray cats and dogs until they were rehomed. No dog or cat is too big or too small! I have cared for a few hour old kittens to Great Danes - all sizes great and small I have a garden, transport and spare room in my house if animals wanted/required their own space.


From the age of 10 years of age my Mum had a dog boarding business where I helped all through out the day and night to help it run smoothly. I now have my own well trained dog who’s friendly and loves to play but is gentle.

Since working at a dog friendly pub after being a part of a family dog business for so long, my interest was always heightened when someone brought their lovely dog into the pub. 

Dogs will be taken on long walks and even include training sessions like scent work to tire them and keep the mind occupied throughout the day. And chill out time will be with family being together showing affection and love 
At night the dogs stay out of the cage if requested but can also adapt to have them in the cage my house has more than enough from for a cage. We have a garden for your dog to play and go to the toilet when needed. And we are a short walk away from many fields so it's an exciting place for the dogs to stay.

there will be two options within my doggy day care, the dog to be downstairs with my own and meet other dogs as they come into the pub to grow their socialisation skills further. 

Or for those who want a more laid back approach there are areas in the pub your dog can be alone and I can check in on and toilet when it fits your daily routine.

I usually get an hours walk in around 10 then get back to the pub for 11 to use the big area to play with the dogs and teach them some tricks inside. 

Then they usually fall very tired around 12 as the pub opens and I crate them to sleep for an hour or two depending on the age. Then after I finish work I take them for the second walk of the day and drop them back home to the owner.


I am a friendly, reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter living in Harpenden. I work from home and have the flexibility to walk and look after your pets any time of the day, in the week and at weekends.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I love animals and have had many pets over the years including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils and would look after your pet with the attention and affection they deserve. I am used to administering oral medication and know that no two animals are the same, they all have different personalities and needs.&nbsp;
Dog walking - walks for up to one hour on the many footpaths, parks and open countryside in the local area. I have my own car so can transport them if needed. I will make sure they have water and are clean and dry (as possible) on their return. Home visits / House sitting - whatever your pet needs, just let me know. I will make sure they have food, fresh water, clean out litter trays, hutches, groom them (if required), play with them and give them lots of cuddles (if they want them that is!). If house sitting I will walk dogs at least twice a day. Happy to water plants, put bins out, take in parcels etc whilst you are away. Whether it be drop in visits or long stays whilst you are away, I will look after your home like my own and make sure it is well looked after, safe and secure.
Daycare / Boarding - I live in a relaxed, comfortable house with a large secure back garden that dogs can access any time they like. They will have the freedom of downstairs and are very welcome to relax and snooze on the sofas. My garden backs onto woods, with gated access, that lead onto many lovely footpaths and open spaces. There will be at least 2 walks a day and lots of cuddles and attention. Unless from the same household I will only look after one dog at a time. I am also able to look after rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils etc.
I understand how important communication is and will keep you regularly updated on how your pet (and home) is doing so you know they are safe, happy and healthy whilst you are away. Hi, I'm James. Having recently gained more space by moving out of London, I am now ready to welcome more dogs into my home.
I have been a dog lover my whole life and have experience with a range of breeds and sizes. My job is fully remote, meaning I can fully dedicate myself to your dog's needs. I live near a range of parks, countryside and forests and also have a fenced back garden, meaning I can provide a range of environments for your dog to enjoy the great outdoors. I am also the proud owner of a friendly, well-trained and vaccinated Pomeranian-Spitz cross, Barney, who loves sharing his toys (and treats) with his furry friends.
Getting Barney was one of the best decisions me and my wife have made. The mutual love and companionship of a dog is immeasurable, as you will already know.
I currently offer walks, day care, home visits, sitting and boarding. My house has spacious rooms and a secure garden for the dogs, and because we are yet to decorate (excuse the red carpets ) nowhere is off limits! I have included some photos on my profile. I’ve had my Labrador, Maverick, since April 2023, and training him from a young age has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Growing up in a family that always had dogs, I’ve been surrounded by these amazing companions for most of my life, so understanding and caring for them comes naturally to me. My home is well-suited for dogs. I work remotely from home in a converted garage that doubles as my office and Maverick's living space. It’s a cozy, dog-friendly environment where Maverick and we spend most of our day together.
Our home also features a spacious, fenced garden, providing plenty of room for Maverick and any visiting canine friends to play, explore, and relax. With a convenient doggy door leading directly from the office to the garden, dogs in my care can enjoy outdoor access whenever they like. Your furry friend will feel right at home!
When your dog stays with me for the day, they will be able to play in the garden or chill with me in my home office. I have a window at my desk that overlooks the garden so I can have one eye on your canine companion all day even while I am working inside and they are hanging out with Maverick outside. Maverick and I will teach your dog how to use the doggy door at the beginning of their first visit so they can come into my heated office at any time. We don't allow dogs in the main house as one member of our family is unfortunately allergic to them.
From Tuesday to Friday, my son is at nursery and so I will need to pop out to drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the evening. If your dog is already/still here at those times, this will be the only times they are left alone (with Maverick). We can coordinate timings in advance to ensure I am here to receive and hand over your dog.
I like to arrange a meet and greet before your first booking so you can be satisfied with the environment and so we can make sure our dogs get along.


Hi! My name is Mia and I’m 23 years old. I live in Howlands, Welwyn Garden City, in close proximity to Sherrardspark Wood, one of my go-to spots for relaxed, fun dog walks surrounded by nature! 

I studied animal care in college and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I previously worked at Pets at Home for over a year, so I’m very confident caring for pets day-to-day. I’ve also pet-sat for lots of friends and family, and have looked after many dogs and cats through BorrowMyDoggy. I’m a huge cat lover myself and grew up with them, so feline care is something I’m super comfortable with! 

I have two cats at my family home (not at my current address), so any pets I board will have my flat entirely to themselves. This makes it an especially calm environment for cats who prefer quiet, stress-free spaces.

3. 2x Visit a Day
Two visits, ideal for cats who need medication, kittens who need more attention, or dogs that get lonely during the day.

4. Doggy Day Care
Supervised care in my home: walks, playtime, and plenty of company.

5. Boarding (Cats &amp; Dogs)
Overnight care in a safe, comfortable environment. Cats get a peaceful, quiet space, enrichment, brushing (if they enjoy it), and all the cosy spots they like to explore. Dogs get walks, play, and plenty of affection.
