For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Ormiston for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Ormiston Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Ormiston sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I've been a dog lover since day one! I grew up with German Shepherds, Ridgebacks, and a French Water Dog, so I'm experienced with caring for both large and small dogs.

With 5 years of dog-sitting experience I love providing daily walks, mental/smell stimulation, plenty of playtime, and of course cuddles on the sofa. I've cared for puppies and helped with house training, as well as looked after dogs with additional needs and medication requirements.

Working remotely means I can be home most of the day to provide companionship. As an Edinburgh local, I love taking dogs to the Pentlands for weekend walks and regularly visit local spots like Pilrig Park and the Water of Leith. I'm always happy to adapt the walks to suit your dog's needs and energy level.

I understand every dog is unique and I'm committed to keeping them happy, secure, and well-cared for while you're away.

I am a student who’s grown up around animals and genuinely loves caring for them. I’ve lived with a dog for 5 years, a cat for 2 years, so I’m comfortable looking after pets with different routines and personalities. My daily care usually includes regular walks, feeding on schedule and making sure pets get plenty of attention and affection. I’m used to keeping pets happy, healthy, and relaxed as part of everyday life.
I live in a house with both a front garden and a secure backyard, which gives pets plenty of space to enjoy fresh air and play safely.
I decided to become a pet sitter because I really enjoy caring for animals and helping owners feel at ease when they’re away. I’m responsible, easygoing, and always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well looked after. I’m happy to stick closely to your pet’s routine and give them plenty of attention....

As you can see from my pictures, I have tons of experience with pets. I am a star sitter on another pet sitting app and have completed over 150 bookings - boarding, house sitting, dog walks and cat drops in. - happy to send over testimonials!

I absolutely adore being around pets as they bring me such joy and comfort. I would love to give you a helping hand whether that be walks, drop ins or house sitting etc. I am very reliable and proactive.

I have been a member on a similar pet sitting app and have competed over 25 wonderful sits. I am a 5 star sitter ( happy to send over my reviews), and have completed assignments in Scotland, London and even Portugal. I have pet sat for all sorts of cats and dogs. Many have been French bulldogs, springers, terriers, greyhounds for example - I have experience with more anxious animals, older pets, very energetic pets - all sorts :)

I am based in Trinity/ Newhaven. I have wardie bay and Starbank park all on my doorstep

Any home feels a little empty without a pet, luckily growing up my home was never without one (several actually), but sadly since moving to Edinburgh I do not have any. Pet sitting gives me a great opportunity to spend time with loving fur friends, enjoy their unique mannerisms, and maybe go out for some nice walks! I don't have any character requirements I just want them to be themselves, whether your pet is energetic, shy, indifferent, growly, etc. It’s more about company, safety and care. Trust is earned and I put the time in to adapt to different pet’s needs and behaviours, with the hope they will feel comfortable and at home with me :)
I have always enjoyed caring for animals and the range of experience I have had branches from domestic animals to wildlife, with a diploma in animal management to support my interest. I have been intermittently pet sitting throughout the years, but more major roles include animal rescue work, habitat conservation, protection of endangered birds, and kennels and cattery work - so quite a mix. During this time, I have cared for various species and breeds; reptiles, dogs, rabbits, cats, and often dealt with behavioural difficulties or anxiety in animals.
I have listed the option of home boarding, having a small but cosy 1st floor flat in Edinburgh centre with aspacious communal garden. There is a little spare room in my flat that works nicely as a space for pets staying, and there are plenty of spots to retreat to/climb up for their own space. My primary job is a professional cleaner so you can also expect a high standard of cleanliness for your pet. To stay with me pets must be vaccinated and have up to date cards, so I hope that's okay :)
My adventures and highlights from pet sitting experiences will be featured on my profile for your enjoyment, and I hope you choose me to be your pet’s new friend!
Thanks for reading.

Hi! I’m Ricco and I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with dogs and always had pets around me, so caring for them has been a big part of my life.
I moved from Hong Kong to the UK almost four years ago and have fallen in love with Edinburgh — it’s such a wonderful place to live and share with pets!
Back in Hong Kong, I worked in animal rescue for over 10 years, helping injured and newborn cats and dogs. This experience gave me the skills, patience, and confidence to care for pets of all kinds. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I am committed and responsible in everything I do for them.
Since moving to the UK almost four years ago, I have continued my dedication to pets. I brought with me two dogs I rescued from the streets, and caring for them has been a rewarding daily commitment.
My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my love for animals and my desire to give them comfort, care, and happiness while their owners are away. I am patient, responsible, and attentive, and I enjoy building trust with both pets and their families. I also offer services such as daily walks, feeding, and playtime, ensuring that pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay.I work from home, so I can spend a lot of time with them, provide companionship, and take care of their needs throughout the day. I make sure that the pets are taken at least three times a day, or more if needed.
There is a large lakeside park about a five-minute walk from my home, where I can take them for walks in the morning or in the evening. In addition, there is a fenced park just outside my back door where they can also go for walks and get some exercise
As I have previously worked in a large animal centre, I understand that different pets have different personalities. This allows me to manage and care for more than two pets from different households, helping them get along safely.
My home has three separate rooms, which makes it easy to keep pets apart when needed and gradually introduce them to each other at a comfortable pace. Pets are welcome to jump on the sofa and sleep, and they are also free to move around the house.

My name's Alison, I'm a self employed behavioural therapist and I've lived in Edinburgh for 7 years. I am caring and nurturing by nature, my work centred around supporting children for 12 years now. Growing up in Aberdeenshire, my parents have always had dogs and cats ( chickens, ducks, ferrets even goats at one point!), so I'm used to being around animals and have a lot of love for them. Although I have no pets here in Edinburgh, I adore their company and will soon be looking for my own furry friend. Meanwhile, I'd love to care for your pet and make sure they are happy and healthy during my sit. I'm a grounded person who will match your pets energy. I have experience looking after cats and dogs for friends and family. Owners know best and I will always stick to your pet routines and requirements.
I can't wait to meet your pet!

Hey there, nice to meet you!
I'm an experienced dog owner with a variety of different breeds. Happy to walk your dog through the park, for them to meet ours (if looking for a furry play buddy) or to look after it during the day. Hours or availability vary depending on the week and your requirements. Please do feel free to message and we can have a chat to talk about your needs or specialties.
Know it's difficult to leave the house or for vacation when your beloved pet can't come with you. From personal experience, it can be difficult to have that support network, but you'd still want the very best for your dog.

Happy to send lots of pictures of your pet!
Dog should be vaccinated and registered with a local vet in the Edinburgh area.
Anything else you'd like to know, give me a shout! Talk soon

Hello! My name is Andra, a PhD student studying pollinators in urban green spaces at Edinburgh Napier Uni! While my research focuses on buzzing bees, my passion for animals extends beyond insects. I grew up surrounded by pets and farm animals. However, renting in Edinburgh has made it tricky to have pets of my own, so I’m excited about the opportunity to spend more time with animals through pet sitting.
I’m a sociable but introverted person, and I always seek to create a relaxing environment for pets.
With personal and professional experience in animal behaviour, I take the time to understand their individual needs and personality. I’m attentive to each animal’s unique needs and I’ll always prioritize your pet’s wellbeing above everything else.
I’m looking to grow my community of pet owners and provide a reliable and loving service.
Please do reach out. :)
