Hello! We’re Julia and Ramón, a couple living in Portsmouth. We are an architect and an aerospace engineer. We’ve both grown up with dogs back home in Spain – my Labrador has been with my family for over 13 years, while Ramón’s Staffy, which is 4 years, lives with his parents. We’ve spent years caring for them, so we understand how important it is for dogs to feel happy, loved, and safe.

As we can’t have our own dogs with us here, we’d love to help others by walking their dogs or looking after them in our home while they’re away. We have over a year of experience caring for many different dogs, and we’re always happy to follow each family’s routines and preferences.

We live in a one-bedroom house with a large terrace covered in artificial grass, perfect for dogs to play and relax. We’re also very close to the beach, which is ideal for long walks and letting dogs enjoy a bit of freedom.

Hi! My names Rachel I'm 25, I've been a dog walker &amp; dog boarder for nearly 5 years now. I run my own dog walking business and have done for 4 years. I'm very passionate about dogs, I love spending all my time getting to know all the dogs I can. Your dog will have so much fun with me on my daily group walks! I have my very own little doggy too he's very friendly and loves all dogs! 
I walk and look after dogs all ages and sizes from toy to large! I have a load of experience. My home is their home whilst they're staying with me. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with people, dogs &amp; is vaccinated before their stay with me. 
As a full time dog walker, your dog will enjoy two - three group walks a day with other similar dogs that are all super friendly. They will get lots of love and attention at home, I have so many toys and games they can play with as well as a doggy pool in the garden. I like the dogs I look after to feel as home as they can during their stay with me. 
I will send you photos &amp; videos everyday of your dog hang loads of fun too!! 
I always arrange free meet and greets before any service so you and your pup can get to know me. Pop me a message if you're interested 
I am fully insured &amp; council licensed with a 4* rating (highest star rating possible) so know that your dog will be taken care of at a high standard with lots of love. 
Just to make it clear the services I provide is dog walking group or solo walks , dog sitting , dog boarding in my home, drop in services to your home for dogs or any small animals, if they need feeding or just caring for if you're out for the day.  I also provide day care for dogs at my home not just overnight stays. 
I have recently brought a house in Cosham (January 2025) it's super dog friendly with lots of dog beds, dog toys, a safe garden space with 6' fences all round, toys in the garden as well as a small dog pool for when it's hot. I've also got lots of enrichment &amp; puzzle toys to stimulate the dogs while they're with me. I'm very relaxed with having dogs with me my home is also their home, the dogs are allowed on all the furniture like they would be at home. I have a load of treats (if the dog is allowed them) to share with them. I will send you my address and you're more than welcome to come round before the visit to see where your dog is staying. SJ's Sofa4Sighthounds is a 5* licensed home boarding facility exclusively for sighthounds. We are in the PO13 area, close to Fareham.
Whilst you are away for the day, a weekend, or a week or two, we can provide your sighthound with lots of comfort, company and safe walks.
Our resident dog is a 10 year old lurcher called Penny. We have 2 dog savvy children, the youngest is 10. Our back garden is a secure space for zoomies.
We are with the dogs at night too, to ensure they are warm and settled, and the particularly needy ones are welcome to snuggle if they wish.
Dogs will remain on leads when out and about with us. They will wear a Tractive GPS tracker on their collar throughout their stay with us.
Drop off and collection must be agreed by prior arrangement, (children and neighbours to consider).

My family and I are lifelong dog lovers — the kind who believe there’s nothing better than a snuggly pooch curled up beside you. We both grew up with family dogs, and my own beloved dog passed a few years ago. While we aren’t able to have a dog full‑time due to our work schedules, I’m a full‑time teacher and use my summer break to fill my home with wagging tails, happy paws, and plenty of cuddles.
We regularly care for our in‑laws’ Shih Tzu and Toy Poodle, as well as a friend’s Cockapoo, and we treat every dog like a cherished member of the family. I pride myself on providing attentive, gentle, and genuinely loving care — the kind of care I’d want for my own dog.

A typical day with me is calm, structured, and full of affection. I wake at 6:30am and start the day with a gentle fuss and a trip into the garden for a toilet break. At around 7am, as my husband leaves for work, I take the dog out for an early morning walk. I do this intentionally before the day warms up, giving them a refreshing, comfortable start. When we return home, breakfast is served exactly according to their usual routine, and fresh water is topped up throughout the day. The morning is relaxed and homely — lots of cuddles while I get housework done, with dogs welcome to snooze on the sofa, potter around the house, or enjoy a bit of playtime or enrichment depending on their personality.

Late morning or early afternoon often includes a family walk with my children, giving dogs extra exercise and stimulation. On cooler days, we sometimes head to the beach for a breezy walk and a change of scenery. The afternoons are peaceful and cosy; I settle down with a warm cup of coffee, and dogs usually curl up beside me for a long nap. When my husband returns from work, we head out for an evening walk together, followed by dinner, more cuddles, and a calm, comforting bedtime routine.

During the summer, I am home full‑time, so dogs are rarely left alone. If I do need to step out briefly — for groceries or a quick errand — dogs are left for no more than one to two hours, and only if owners are comfortable with this. I follow each dog’s feeding schedule precisely, whether they eat raw, kibble, or wet food, and I can confidently administer oral medication if needed. Any special routines, from cooling mats to favourite toys or crate naps, are happily followed.

Your dog’s safety is always my priority. I keep emergency contacts and vet details easily accessible, monitor dogs closely for signs of stress or overheating, and never allow off‑lead walking unless the owner has approved it and the environment is safe. I carry water, treats, and waste bags on every walk, and in the event of an emergency, I act immediately and contact the owner straight away.

In my care, your dog can expect a loving family home, plenty of exercise tailored to their needs, a predictable routine, constant companionship, and endless affection. I genuinely adore dogs, and I will treat your pooch like one of my own — maybe even better.
