For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Smethwick for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Smethwick Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Smethwick sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hello, my name is Fongfong. I’m a caring and responsible pet lover with hands-on experience looking after both dogs and cats.We live in a house with a peaceful atmosphere, and there’s a grassy area nearby that’s perfect for dog walks. It’s a quiet spot where dogs can enjoy a relaxed stroll, stretch their legs, and sniff around safely. I have two children who also love animals, they’re gentle, curious, and enjoy spending quiet time with pets. Our home is calm and caring, and we always treat animals with kindness and respect.I used to have two toy poodles, one aged 11 and the other 7. Through the years of caring for them, I gained practical experience with small dogs, from feeding and walking to understanding the special needs of senior pets. They taught me so much about companionship, routine, and gentle attention.I’ve also cared for a friend’s cat while she was away for 10 days, visiting daily to feed, clean the litter tray, and spend quality time playing and bonding. This helped me understand how to support pets with different personalities and needs.I treat every pet with patience, warmth, and genuine care, just like family.Services I offer:
Dog BoardingYour dog stays in my home overnight, with plenty of love, routine, and companionship.Includes: feeding, walks, playtime, and quiet rest.Ideal for: small dogs, senior dogs, or those who prefer a calm home environment. Doggy Day CareDaytime care in my home while you're at work or away.Includes: walks, playtime, feeding (if needed), and gentle supervision.Available: Monday to Friday, with weekend care upon request. Dog Walking (Minimum 30-minute walks)Safe, on-lead walks tailored to your dog’s pace and personality.Includes: gentle wipe-down if needed, mood and health observation, photo updates upon request.Available: weekdays between 10am–2pm; weekend walks by request. One Home Visit a DayI visit your home once daily to care for your pet.Includes: feeding, litter tray cleaning, playtime, and companionship.Perfect for: cats or dogs who prefer staying in their own space.Visit usually lasts around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pet’s needs. Two Home Visits a DayMorning and evening visits to ensure your pet feels supported throughout the day.Includes: feeding, cleaning, playtime, and health checks.Ideal for: pets with more complex routines or extra companionship needs. Each visit usually lasts around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pet’s needs.I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, warmth, and genuine care. My goal is to make your furry family members feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you're away.If your pet has any special routines or needs, feel free to let me know, I’m happy to follow your instructions and make small adjustments to help them feel comfortable.

COUNCIL REGISTERED,DBS AND INSURED FAMILY

We are an animal-loving family. Genuine and caring. I, Kelly, along with my husband Ben and daughter Isabella, will take care of your pets like they are our own.
We have had our own dogs in our family for over 12 years. And we have been boarding sitting and walking dogs for over 2 years now.
We are council-registered. DBS checked and also fully insured.
We know how important pets are to families. And we will show them the most love and care that we can give.
Our backgrounds are both as paramedics. We are also registered foster carers for the local authority. Our home and ourselves are constantly scrutinised to make sure we provide the best care possible.
We have looked after over 100 pets with great references.
We are really accommodating and offer home from home boarding, sitting in your home and also walks and pop-ins.
We use our day wisely. Planning set walks and are always punctual. We send pictures and routes to owners also.
With the boarding. We regularly update owners Every couple of days with information and pictures. The same when we are sitting in people's homes. Their house is always left immaculately clean too.
We never overaccommodate. We stick to quality over quantity when it comes to animals and their care. We also have a large garden and patio area at home.
We have looked after a variety of different dogs all with different needs and temperaments. We appreciate that all dogs are different and need different things to feel comfortable In a new environment. I'm not adverse to having dogs sleep with me, or me sleeping downstairs with dogs that don't like being left alone.
We fill in paperwork each day for every dog in our care. This includes eating habits, drinking, walks and general appearance and well being of the dog.
Your dog will never be left alone and we always monitor dogs in our care continually throughout the day. We also have a doggy cam for evenings if needed. If, for whatever reason, we need to separate dogs. We do have several secure rooms in our home that we can do this. Although we haven't had to do this as yet.
We offer a meet and greet first. Then a trial sleepover before confirming bookings to ensure the happiness of your dog.

I am very patient and loving, and provide timely updates with photos/ videos of your dog so you don't miss them too much while you're away. Additionally, I enjoy running and recently completed the Birmingham 10k, so I am more than happy to take your furry baby on runs with me if you like. Hi! My names Cathy Turner I'm 26, a mother of one little girl who is two years of age and three fur babies! I have Pringle who is 6, his brother Jasper who again is 6 and a black cat called Blue (strange I know). Blue is a Bombay black cat and Pringle and Jasper are King Charles cavalier spaniels. They all have a lovely temperament and love being around people, children and other animals
As you can see from above, I have lots of experience from owning my own animals. I also come from a home with a dachshund who I have looked after numerous times, Timmy the sausage dog!
I'm highly motivated to work with animals purely down to my huge love for them. I'd be happy to look after small/medium sized dogs, rabbits/caged animals in my own home. I would request that all animals are used to other animals due to me having three of my own. I'm happy to board several animals at a time if owners are happy with this too for day care or overnight stays.
When having several dogs at once I am happy to book out Bosty Fields in Rushall which is an enclosed dog field that you can book out for an hour at a time for the dogs to have a good run about. They love this!! (I do this at my own cost to ensure the dogs have a good amount of exercise time)
I have a secure medium sized back garden and provide lots of dog toys/ dog sun shade beds to keep them occupied and safe. I also live locally to the Lime Pits nature reserve so have lots of lovely walks for your dogs which you will be able to see on my photos through large woods and canals.
I'm also happy to travel within reason to feed cats/dogs if owners will be on holiday/ away from their home for a long period i.e work long hours and need someone to pop in daily to feed or take dogs for walks/let house cats in and out.
I would also request that any animals that I have stay at my house are fully vaccinated, up to date with boosters, fleed, wormed and house trained for obvious reasons.
Please send me a message if you need help with your animals and I will respond as soon as I am able!
I look forward to speaking with you and meeting your gorgeous fur babies!

Hello! My name is Komal.
I absolutely adore animals!
Along with my own pets, I have cared for many others over the years including cats, small and large dogs, and I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality.
I grew up with pets and now have my own much loved cats at home, and dog at my mom’s, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. My experience includes feeding routines, playtime, grooming basics, litter/cleaning care, and giving oral medication when needed. I’m very patient, gentle, and confident with shy or nervous pets as well as energetic, playful ones.
I tailor my care to each pet. Whether your pet loves cuddles, long walks, quiet company, or active play, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I’m familiar with different behaviour types confident, anxious, excitable, or timid and I always take the time to let pets approach me at their own pace.
For safety, I follow clear routines:
• I double check doors, gates, and windows before and after each visit.
• I maintain your pet’s regular feeding schedule to avoid stress.
• I keep a close eye on behaviour signs such as overstimulation, stress, or discomfort.
• For dogs, I only use secure leads and harnesses provided by the owner.
• For cats, I ensure litter areas stay clean and hygienic.
If I’m caring for more than one pet, I supervise all interactions closely and make introductions slowly and calmly to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I never leave pets unattended in situations where they could be at risk.
In case of an emergency, I act quickly and appropriately contacting you immediately, following your instructions, and if needed, getting your pet to the nearest vet. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing always come first.
I love sending daily updates, photos, and videos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I want you to feel the same reassurance I value when my own pet is being looked after.
Thank you so much for reading my profile. I’d be delighted to care for your furry family member and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

We grew up around various pets, so we have plenty of experience looking after your loved ones. We enjoy looking after, spending time and playing with dogs. We have a large house with a open plan kitchen they can run around in, a cosier living room and big garden that always benefits from the energy pets bring to it.
I largely work from home, meaning your pet will not be on their own for long, and my partner works short shifts so says I'm in the office pets only have a coupleof hours on thier own. We normally go for daily walks each evening around nearby parks in Bournville too.
We have a very large fenced garden and a house with plenty of spare rooms to explore. We are also walking distance to a number of nice parks. When your dog stays with you, you can expect:- Plenty of love, care, and attention- Daily walks suited to their individual needs, along with consent access to our large fenced garden- We keep to your dog's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled- Endless cuddles, affection, and positive interaction
We have cared for quite a variety of dogs, from puppy's to older dogs, rescues and dogs in need of extra or special attention so can meet each need. Do let me know if your pets have any special needs, and I can adapt to ensure they have the best time during their stay.

I’ve been a devoted dog owner for the past 13 years and, during that time, I’ve also regularly cared for the dogs of family and friends. Looking after animals has always been something I genuinely love, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pet. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and happy while in my care.

I enjoy spending time outdoors and love going on long walks, so your dog will always get plenty of exercise, attention, and stimulation. I’m fortunate to live close to beautiful woodlands, canals, and parks, which means there are lots of exciting places for dogs to explore and enjoy. Whether your pet enjoys energetic adventures, gentle strolls, playtime, or simply companionship and cuddles, I’m happy to adapt to their individual personality and needs to ensure they feel completely at home.

Happy to do big walks or little walks whatever works best. Usually 30 mins at a time. One walk in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening. This I not set in stone happy to fit in with current schedule.
I only take one booking at a time so either 1 dog or 2 dogs from the same home.
I work from home so can be home all of the time if required for plenty of walks and cuddles. So your dog wouldn't be left alone.
I tend to only walk one dog at a time unless they are from the same family.
I have experience with very reactive and anxious dogs so can take that in my stride when out walking. I find street walking can be a better environment rather than a park or woodland area. I tend to keep dogs on their leads again for additional safety.
I'm happy to administer medication if required. I would need vet contact details just in case of an emergency.

I have my animal first aid.
I'm DBS checked.
