For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in South Ockendon for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local South Ockendon Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving South Ockendon sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi, I'm Raquel!
I’m a Portuguese animal lover living in Canvey Island with a genuine passion for caring for pets. I have grew up with animals in my grandmas house, and I think animals are the purest thing on Earth, little angels looking after us in their innocent ways. As the owner of a friendly Maine Coon kitten and having previously owned both dogs and cats, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your beloved companion.
Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having company while you’re away, I’ll always provide patient, reliable and loving care. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, relaxed and happy while in my care.
I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently

Hello! :)
My name is Leon and I am a full time dog walker/sitter based in the Thamesmead area. I have recently moved into a spacious house with a big garden, perfect for dogs.
I also live directly opposite 'the tor', a big hill surrounded by green space, ideal for a nice play or walk, mere meters from the house.
Ideally, I would only take vaccinated dogs in my own home but I would be open to discussing the matter if that were an issue.
I have worked with dogs on and off for the last 4/5 years and have experience with many different types of dogs.
I spent 4 months working in rescue centres in Spain, where I handled some very difficult dogs, giving me the skills to work with slightly more dangerous dogs. I have done some vet work as well as working with all kinds of dogs on their wellbeing and rehabilitation.
I also have a lot of experience working with reactive dogs and helping them integrate into society and socialise with humans + dogs.
Working with dogs is my passion in life, and I'm confident I can tailor to your dogs needs, no matter their requirements.
What Do I Offer?

I offer sitting and boarding services in my home in Thamesmead. As you can see in the photos provided, I have a large, spacious garden + decking area. The entire garden is fenced. I have a spacious kitchen that leads into the garden, which is where I'll be spending my time with doggos on a rainy day. You may also notice the gazeebo on the decking - if a dog really wants to be outside and it's a bit wet, I will use the gazeebo with a nice comfortable bed in there to allow them to relax outside.
While your dog is staying in my home, I will spend time playing with them, training (if previously discussed with owner) and taking them on walks to the local park, which as you can see from the photos provided is directly opposite my house.
Before your dog comes here - I think it's necessary to do a meet and greet, whether that is the dog coming to meet me here, or for me to come to meet them in your home, that is up to you! This just gives the dog some confidence when they are first left with me.
I am determined to make sure every dog feels welcome into my property, and over the coming weeks I will be making the garden more and more dog friendly! I have a huge decking, which will be filled with dog beds and toys! I can't wait to work with you and your dog, if you have any queries regarding my services - please feel free to get in touch!

All the best and look forward to hearing from you,

Leon

I’m a friendly, reliable and genuinely animal obsessed dog sitter who has grown up around dogs my whole life. Being 27 and having lived in a dog household since I was young means I’m confident handling all types of dogs, from tiny high energy breeds to large, strong dogs and older companions who need a gentler pace.
I offer dog walking, drop ins and home boarding or daycare. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities and needs, and I tailor each day to the dog, whether they need long stimulating walks, structured play, slow calming time or a predictable routine. I’m also comfortable giving oral medication, sticking to training rules and supporting dogs who are nervous or still learning.
For boarding and daycare, dogs stay in my family home which is quiet, safe and dog friendly. We have a fully enclosed garden and a big field just three minutes away, so dogs get plenty of safe exercise and sniffing time. Dogs are never left alone for long, and I always follow the owner’s preferences for feeding, crate use, boundaries and behaviour.
Safety is always my priority. Owners provide their dog’s usual lead or harness, and I handle them confidently on walks, keeping distance from overstimulating dogs and calmly redirecting excitement or pulling. At home, I keep doors and gates secured and make sure the environment is calm and predictable, especially for anxious or first time boarders.

Hi there!
I’m a proud dog owner with two years of experience caring for both dogs and cats — and I absolutely love it. I’ve walked dogs of all sizes, fed both cats and dogs, played with them, and made sure they felt safe and happy while their owners were away.
Being around animals is always a joy for me, but I never let that joy distract me from their safety. I’m observant, responsible, and calm under pressure. I treat every pet like my own — with patience, love, and full attention.
One thing I enjoy doing is capturing little moments during the day and sending updates to owners. Whether it's a funny moment, a peaceful nap, or a happy tail wag, I’ll keep you in the loop so you can feel connected even while you're away.
I’m also comfortable following detailed instructions, routines, or any special care your pet needs. I'm usually available on weekends and during the day, so feel free to reach out and ask about specific times.
Whether it’s feeding, walking, cuddling, or just keeping your pet company, I’m here to help you and make your pet feel safe, seen, and loved every step of the way.

Hello, my name is Paris, and I am excited to offer my pet sitting services to you. My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from a genuine, lifelong passion for animals. I am a very patient person and find true joy in caring for pets, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. It is more than just a job to me; it is a commitment to providing the best care possible.
While I have recently started offering my services professionally, my hands-on experience is extensive. I am the proud owner of a wonderful cat, so I am deeply familiar with feline needs and behaviors. I also regularly babysit my friends' dogs when they are out of town, managing everything from feeding schedules to daily walks.
I specialize in dog walking and in-home cat sitting. My home is a calm, non-smoking, one-bedroom apartment where I live alone with my resident cat. It is a secure and welcoming space, perfect for pets.
To ensure the health and safety of all animals in my care, particularly my own cat, I do require that all visiting pets be up-to-date on their vaccinations. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your furry companion.

Hi! My name is Ecaterina Marchitan ,and I truly enjoy spending time with dogs. They bring so much joy and positive energy, and I feel very happy when I can take care of them. I am a caring, patient, and reliable person who always tries to make every pet feel loved and safe.

I enjoy going on long walks, playing in the park, or simply spending quiet time with dogs who like to relax. I am attentive and follow routines carefully, making sure each dog gets the right amount of food, exercise, and affection. I believe that every dog has its own personality, and I always respect their needs, whether they love to run and play or just cuddle.

My goal is to create a warm and friendly environment so your dog feels comfortable while you are away. I will care for your pet with kindness, love, and responsibility.

I should mention that my English is not perfect, but I am a very calm, friendly, and positive person. I learn new information quickly and always do my best to understand instructions and follow them carefully.

I've had dogs all my life and currently have a 3 year old chocolate labrador who is a family dog. I've got experience of training puppies and regularly run with my own dog. I grew up on a farm surrounded by 4 labradors and 2 german shepherds. I now have 1 chocolate labrador and work part time on night shift (4 hours). I am available for boarding and day care throughout the working week. My partner works remotely and is at home too.I have 120 ft fenced garden which dogs have access to all day. Dogs also have access to the entire downstairs in my 4 bed semi detached house and I live near danson park. I provide alot of stimulation and ensure dogs are walked daily and that they get rest too. Alot of the dogs that board with me are welcome to any spot in the house but I will always ensure I follow owners guidance and special instructions too in terms of routine. I will also work on any area training gaps such as recall, walking off lead etc. Alot of the dogs that stay with us are part of the family and I miss them when it's time to say goodbye.I love dogs and genuinely feel they make the world a better place when looked after well. In return I enjoy making them happy in an home away from home setting.

I have always had a deep love for animals, which is what sparked my passion for pet sitting. Growing up surrounded by pets, I developed a strong bond with animals of all kinds, and that connection has only grown stronger over the years. Being a pet sitter allows me to combine my love for animals with my desire to help others by providing a safe, loving environment for pets while their owners are away.
My motivation comes from the joy I feel in caring for animals and ensuring they are happy and comfortable. I understand how important pets are to their families, and I want to provide peace of mind to pet owners by offering top-notch care.
With previous experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals, I am skilled in meeting each pet's unique needs. I offer personalized services tailored to the pet's specific routines and preferences, from daily walks to playtime and cuddle sessions. Pet sitting is not just a job for me; it's a way to share my passion for animals while helping others.
I offer dog walking and home visits mainly but open to overnight sits as well.

I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter and dog walker with a genuine love for animals. My motivation comes from enjoying the companionship of pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine, and needs, and I always take the time to build trust with each one.

I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments as I grown up with dogs.My daily routine is structured to provide consistency and comfort for the pets in my care. This typically includes morning walks, feeding according to the owner’s instructions, playtime and mental stimulation throughout the day, regular toilet breaks, and an evening walk to help them settle calmly for the night. I also make sure they have plenty of companionship, supervision, and rest time in a safe environment.

When caring for multiple pets at once, I focus on maintaining a calm and well-managed routine. I carefully assess each dog’s temperament, energy level, and compatibility before grouping them. Walks can be done together if appropriate, or separately to ensure safety and individual attention. Feeding is always done individually to avoid any issues, and I monitor interactions closely to make sure all pets feel secure and comfortable. Every animal still receives one-on-one attention, so none of them feel overlooked.

I also welcome pets into my home, including those who are not vaccinated. Because of this, I take extra precautions with hygiene, controlled introductions, and maintaining a clean, low-stress environment to minimise any risks. However I don’t do this for business and I only take dogs from one household at a time.

Whether it’s daily walks or longer stays, I’m committed to providing a safe, structured, and loving environment where your dog can feel at home .
