When the sibs and I were growing up we lived in the countryside, and we were always surrounded by lots (and I mean lots!) of dogs, so I guess you could say I've learned a thing or two about how to care for the furry friends.
Nowadays, living in a city, having lots of dogs is not really an option, but I still very much enjoy the company of a trusty furry friend, and so does the wife!
We get to look after some of the family pets every now and then. And we've enjoyed the pet-sitting so much that I've decided to make it official and create this account on pawshake, so that we get the chance to hang out with furry friends more often, and you guys get yet another option for someone who will look after your beloved furry friend in the same way you would.

Hello! My name's Matilda, I'm a second year student at Bath Spa University. I'm from Chile, later on moved to Thailand and lived there for 7 years, and now this is my second year living in Bath! 
My whole life I've loved animals, and I begged to have a dog my whole childhood. I now have 2 dogs – a 5 year old Golden retriever and a 3 year old Labrador retriever! I love them so much but unfortunately they're back home in Thailand with my parents :( I miss them every day and wish to be able to interact with and take care of dogs here in Bath! 
I currently live in an apartment by myself near the city centre of Bath, although I don't have an outdoors area, the royal Victoria park is at walking distance! I have a dog ball to play with and am perfectly okay with doggies being on my couch if they like to! 
I think dogs are the most precious and loving beings in this world, thus I always love to spend time with them! No matter if it's a small or big breed, playful or more calm, I'm open for anything :) I would really appreciate you considering me to take care of your furry friend! 

Hey there, my name is Rebecca! I'm a 27 year old vet student and pet sitter.
I have lots of great experience with a variety of species through my vet training and life in general!
I have been involved in both the cattery and dog shelter of the Galway SPCA. I also worked closely with small mammals, and rescued my colleagues from a loose ferret once! I discovered a love of sighthounds in particular and always really enjoy working with them.
I have been casually pet sitting for the past five years, until last year when I began using another app that was popular in my area. I had several regular dog visit/ walk clients - new puppies to the more mature. I am happy to do on and off-lead walking, where appropriate and safe. I will follow instructions on whatever training you are working on with your pet. I am confident administering medication. Unfortunately, I cannot accept very strong or difficult to handle dogs due to chronic back pain.
I would be keen to build a trusting relationship with any pet I care for and strive for respectful and honest communication with pet owners.
I give pets my full attention and aim to leave them tuckered out but happy! I send a detailed update after my visit including some photos. I'm always careful to include any concerns.

 Please Note:
House Sitting: I am not currently staying overnight in client’s houses. This option is suitable if you would like to have me sit with your pet during the day/evening, while at work or socialising. Please get in touch to discuss! 
Boarding/Day Care: I live in an apartment which has a small balcony and unfenced patio space - suitable for quick potty breaks. There are lots of easily accessible nice walks in the area for longer exercise.
Walks: Available to pick up/drop off and supervise visits to local secure dog paddocks.

At Bertie and Nic boarding,  it's like having home to home comforts. All dogs are treated just like they are mine own.
Dogs have the run of my property if they want to sit on the sofa, I don't mind, and night times, they are more than welcome to sleep on the bed with Bertie and me.
My property is very quiet, all dogs go on 3 walk per day if they are able to do this, I do sometimes  go of in the car with them and find new places for them.
20 yards behind my property, we have a lovely walk with a nice stream and loads of trees. Not close to any roads.
I have always loved dogs, and this is now my dream job.
I am registered with South Gloucester Council for Boarding, also have dog first aid and dbs check and insured.
Loads of love and treat dogs will always want to come back.


I’m currently living in Clifton working full time. I'm in between working at home and in the office. I love getting out in the fresh air and it would be great to have some company when I do so. I regularly look after an Australian Labradoodle 
A bit about my dog history! I’ve had a Cocker Spaniel called Buster since I was 15. Since moving to Bristol, he has remained at my family home in Cornwall (I really miss him!). Quite often I will dog sit him and as he is very energetic (and sometimes naughty!), I take him out on long walks and make sure I play with him lots!
I’ve also dog sat for various families and friends over the course of long periods (feed, bathe, walk and of course play!). Also, over lockdown I helped walk a dog who’s owner was shielding at the time, taking Hettie to nice woodland areas such as Leigh Woods. 
I’ve previously worked at a zoo and enjoyed spending lots of time with the birds farm animals. I also love cats and have had several hamsters and bunnies!
