Top cities for doggy day care in United Kingdom

For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Timperley for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Timperley Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Timperley sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hello! I am a kind, patient, and responsible pet lover offering a safe and calm home environment for your pet while you are away. I work from home most days, so pets are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, supervision, and affection throughout the day.

A typical day includes regular feeding according to your instructions, fresh water, playtime, gentle interaction, and a quiet place to rest. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress and help them feel comfortable. Pets are free to relax in the living area and will sleep in a warm, safe indoor space at night.

I am especially gentle with shy or anxious pets and allow them time to settle at their own pace. Safety is very important to me — my home is clean, secure, and pet-friendly, and I only accept healthy, vaccinated pets.

I will send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy and well cared for. Your pet will be treated with kindness, patience, and genuine love, just like a member of the family.

I’m a lifelong dog lover with 5 years of hands-on dog sitting experience.
I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, including English Cocker Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. As an adult, I’ve owned a miniature dachshund called Milo.
Over the last few years I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including dachshunds and a Shipoo (Shih Tzu/Poodle mix). I’m comfortable with different personalities and energy levels but I live in an apartment so larger dogs might not have the room they need for longer stays.
I live alone in a secure owned apartment in central Manchester with a fully enclosed private astro-turfed roof terrace, so dogs have a safe outdoor space to relax and play.
I work hybrid and have a flexible schedule so as long as I have a bit of notice I can work my office days around booking. With a bit more notice, I’m also available on weekends.
I’ll keep you up to date through the day with pictures so you know your child is happy and safe.
My apartment is on the border of Manchester and Salford with a number of small parks in very close proximity and Peel Park a 10 minute walk away.
I'm extremely active, dogs in boarding can expect 2-3 walks a day this is obviously dog dependent based on breed/energy levels.
For dogs in daycare I have a hybrid and flexible working schedule so I'm able to do lunch time walks and toilet breaks frequently through the day.
Because of my flexible working dogs will never really be left alone for any kind of extended period. Whilst in my flat they're welcome on all the furniture and beds.

Hello! My name is Macarena and I am from Peru. I came to Manchester to get my Bachelor's degree and I'm currently loving it! I have been sorrounded by animals since I was a child, including cats, dogs, bunnies and I even own a gorgeous guacamayo (back home). I love all animals and will treat yours as if it were mine. I am an excellent and professional cuddle giver, will give them treats, food and water (of course) and just let them do their thing. I own an elderly cat and have owned an elderly dog in the past back home so I know how to take great care of them if necessary (please let me know beforehand). The pets will roam free in my apartment and I will take them on many walks and have lots of playtime. Please feel free to ask me any questions about myself or any other thing, I know how stressful it is to leave your beloved pets so don't hold back on any questions!

Hi! I’m Eira, a lifelong dog lover originally from Mexico and now living in the UK. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, especially Beagles, a breed I know and absolutely love!
I work from home, which means I can provide plenty of company, attention and supervision throughout the day.
I offer dog walking, home visits, doggy day care and house sitting. My walks usually last around 30–60 minutes and can be adapted to your dog’s age, energy level and usual routine, with plenty of exercise, playtime and fresh air.
For doggy day care, your dog will stay in a calm and comfortable home environment. I live in a house with a fully enclosed garden, and there are no other pets or children in the home. As I work from home, your dog will have company for most of the day and would only be left alone for short periods if absolutely necessary.
I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual feeding, walking and care routines so they feel comfortable and settled. Before a booking, I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet to get to know you and your dog.
My priority is simple: making sure your furry family member feels safe, happy and loved while in my care!

About me

My name is Kam, and I’ve cared for dogs for over 8 years. I’ve also volunteered at dog rescues in Hong Kong, where I gained experience walking, feeding, and supporting dogs of all kinds. I’ve studied calming signals, dog first aid, and grooming basics, and I continue to learn more to provide the best care possible.

Experience & motivation

I’m motivated by a genuine love for animals. As the proud parent of two rescued dogs, I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pets with someone else. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and those with special needs. My goal is always to provide a safe, happy, and loving environment where dogs feel at home.

About our services

We offer a loving, safe home environment for dogs, providing boarding and daycare with plenty of care and attention. Services include feeding, walking, playtime, and supervision. We can also administer oral medication if needed.

Capacity

We board up to 3 dogs at a time (including our own two resident dogs), always ensuring compatibility and safety. Dogs from different households are only boarded together with written owner consent.

Dog walks

Walks are usually 30–45 minutes, adjusted to each dog’s age, energy and health needs.

Two walks per day are included, with extra play sessions in the garden.

Time with pets

We understand how important companionship is. Dogs in our care are never left alone for more than 3 hours during boarding or 1 hour during daycare. Between my husband and me, one of us is always at home or nearby to supervise.

Daily routine & availability

Dogs become part of our family routine, with morning and evening walks, feeding, and plenty of play and cuddle time. We coordinate our schedules to make sure dogs get lots of attention and care every day.

Home environment

We live in a detached house in Birchwood, Warrington, with comfortable indoor space for dogs.

Our household includes myself, my husband Herman, and our two friendly dogs: an older husky mix and a golden retriever.

Guest dogs can sleep in the living room or a quieter separate space, depending on what makes them most comfortable. Owners are welcome to bring beds, crates or blankets.

The garden is fully fenced with brand-new solid panels and a lockable gate, ensuring safety and security at all times.

Hey! I'm Charlie and I home board doggies for thier holidays whilst you are on yours!
I provide loving care with lots of walks and cuddles, I especially love taking care of senior dogs, making sure they are happy and comfortable. I have been boarding and walking dogs for many years and I like to make sure they get quality time with me. I will also send you pup-dates whilst you are away!
I have two dogs of my own, one is a rescue, male neutered spanish Podenco and one is a spayed female basset and both are very used to getting along with other dogs.
I also live with my two sons who are 10 and 13 and who are also very used to animals in the house, as such I always ask for a meet and greet first to ensure you are happy with the enviroment and that all the dogs get along with each other.
I live in the countryside with easy access to feilds and parks!
See you soon!

For as long as I can remember, I've loved the companionship of dogs.
Walking them brings me so much joy, and I'm dedicated to ensuring your pet's safety and well-being during our strolls.
Having volunteered to walk a neighbourhood dog, I love getting the opportunity to let them run and play in the park. Given that my own dog is now very old and so has very limited stamina for lengthy walks, I am eager to share my passion for long walks and runs with another dog nearby.
I would consider myself a mature and responsible person, and therefore happily say I can guarantee that your dog will be under constant watch, ensuring their safety at all times. I will shower your pet with the same affection and attention as I do with my own.
although I don't have a lot of experience with unfamiliar dogs I have lots of experience taking care of and walking dogs of many different sizes and breeds.

I live in Fulham in a pet friendly house and am happy to care for your dog there and at your home. I am still in education so I am only available weekends and evenings

Best friend for your little best friend!
We are a couple based near Deansgate who own a doggo themselves, Carlton! Carlton is the friendliest dog. He loves all dogs and adapts his play levels to each dog. He can entertain a puppy and be chilled around an older pup!
We are a very active and playful household so can accommodate all needs! The dogs can be walked as often as needed. No matter the weather.
We offer daycare, house sitting and drop in visits. We can work around your and your dog needs. We are very flexible during the week and can almost always accommodate last-minute plan changes. We are based at home full time so have the flexibility to look after other doggos.
We have experience in looking after puppies and senior dogs. We can administer oral medication if needed too!
We are very excited to meet you and your little buddy for all the play and cuddles! We have a few regular doggos that stay with us!

I’ve always loved dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for long walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I have grown up around pets such as cats and dogs and I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I have cared for multiple different breeds and sizes so any dog is not an issue for me. I know some dogs are slightly nervous meeting new people which is why i never rush anything when caring for a new dog or force any interactions
I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and day care, with each service tailored to suit your dog’s routine. Walks are available for 30 or 60 minutes and include plenty of exercise, enrichment, fresh water, and lots of attention. Drop-in visits are perfect for feeding, letting your dog out for the toilet, playtime, and giving them company during the day. Day care provides a safe, caring environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.
I’m reliable, patient, and committed to treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m happy to arrange a meet and greet before your first booking so we can discuss your dog’s routine, personality, and any special requirements. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and in safe hands.

Hey there!
I'm James, an experienced dog owner living in South Manchester. I have my own cockapoo (Gnocchi) and have experience walking other dogs before getting my own.
I often work evenings which leaves me free during the day so I'm looking to fill my time by spending it walking other people's dogs.
Happy to take your pup on long walks or home visits or dog boarding in my own home as long as they're vaccinated. I live in a house with a big back garden that's fully fenced with plenty of space to run around in.
I own my own car so if you're a little of the way I'm happy to travel within reasonable distance. Typical walks will involve parks and some play in a gated off area with or without my own dog depending on your preference. I'm comfortable walking dogs of all ages and sizes and the car has a fitted dog seat and safety harness suitable for any size of dog. Locally I have lots of green areas, including large parks and areas that are completely closed off and secure for off lead fetch.
Home visits are usually an hour long or two visits for £15.
Get in touch and tell me a bit more about your four legged friend!

I’ve always had a deep love for animals — they’ve been such an important part of my life. I’ve cared for cats and dogs for many years, and now I have my own lovely cat living with me here in the UK. She came all the way from China, and taking care of her through that big journey has taught me so much about patience, trust, and gentle communication. What I OfferI provide home visits for cats and dog walking services. I can feed them, refresh their water, clean litter trays, give medication if needed, and spend time playing or cuddling — whatever makes them feel safe and loved while you’re away. For dogs, I offer calm, caring walks, always following their pace and making sure they feel relaxed and happy. A Little About My PlaceI live in a quiet flat with no balcony, which makes it safe for pets when I do home visits. There’s also a lovely park nearby — perfect for peaceful walks or a bit of playful energy release. My ApproachI truly believe animals can feel our emotions. I always take time to read their body language and understand what they need — whether that’s attention, playtime, or a little space. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for.If you’re looking for someone gentle, patient, and loving to look after your furry friend, I’d be very happy to help ️

My partner Natalie and I are lifelong animal lovers who have recently relocated from New Zealand and are excited to connect with pets here in the UK. We’ve both grown up surrounded by animals and have over 10 years of combined experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, personalities, and needs. We’ve completed pet‑sitting roles through Pawshake and privately, and we genuinely love looking after other people’s furry family members.
Back home, our family dogs include a gentle rescue greyhound, an energetic collie cross, and a princess‑like shih tzu. We miss having dogs around day‑to‑day, so spending time with your pets is something we genuinely look forward to. Whether it’s playtime, quiet company, cuddles, or simply respecting their space, we’re attentive to what each animal needs to feel safe and happy.
We’re confident with rescues, puppies, seniors, and energetic dogs alike, and have cared for everything from small breeds like Shih Tzus and Maltese crosses to medium and large dogs including German shepherds, Italian water dogs, and poodle mixes.
Availability
Currently we are available morning, afternoon, and evening, and can be flexible depending on your pet’s routine. We both work, but can work from home most days.
Please note that we do not have a vehicle, so if your home is more than a 20 minute train ride from Manchester city centre, we are unlikely to be able to accommodate your booking. Sorry!
