For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Whitworth for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Whitworth Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Whitworth sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi!

I’m a passionate animal lover who has always enjoyed spending time with pets and caring for them as if they were my own. Being a pet sitter allows me to combine my love for animals with providing a valuable service to pet owners who want peace of mind while they’re away.

I have experience with dog walking, dog sitting, and cat sitting, caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Through this experience, I’ve learned the importance of patience, reliability, and building trust with both pets and their owners. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs.

Dog walks are tailored to each dog’s age, breed, energy level, and routine, but typically range from 30 minutes to over an hour. I always make sure pets receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and attention while in my care. During day boarding, pets are rarely left alone, and if I do need to step out, it is never for long periods. My schedule is usually kept clear when I am caring for pets so that they can receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day.

A typical day in my care includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, rest periods, plenty of affection, and sticking as closely as possible to your pet’s usual routine. If I am caring for more than one pet at a time, introductions are always done carefully and at a pace that keeps everyone comfortable and safe. My priority is making sure each pet feels secure, relaxed, and at home.

While I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats, I’m also comfortable caring for other small pets and always take the time to learn about their routines and preferences to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. I also have extensive experience with horses and have been around them my entire life. I currently help care for a horse and have developed a strong understanding of animal behaviour, responsibility, and the importance of consistent care. This lifelong experience has given me confidence in handling animals of all sizes and temperaments.

My priority is to provide a stress-free experience for both pets and owners by maintaining familiar routines, giving plenty of attention, and ensuring pets receive the care they deserve. I understand that every pet is different, and I always do my best to keep their day as close as possible to what they’re used to at home. Their comfort, safety, and wellbeing are always my top priorities.

For the safety and wellbeing of all animals in my care, I only accept pets that are up to date with their vaccinations when staying in my home. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can relax, play, and feel at home.

I take great pride in treating every pet as if they were my own and look forward to building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and providing them with the care, exercise, and companionship they deserve.

Walking dogs brings immense joy to my life and allows me to build special bonds with every furry friend I meet. Each walk—whether an energetic run in the park or a peaceful stroll through the neighborhood—is tailored to the unique needs of each dog. I take pride in ensuring every pet feels loved, safe, and happy. Their wagging tails and cheerful barks are daily reminders of the joy dogs bring into our lives. I’m committed to offering reliable, affectionate, and enriching walks that turn our time together into little adventures.
I’m a lifelong animal lover with several years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even the occasional rabbit and parrot! Whether it’s playtime, walks, or quiet cuddles, I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I understand that every animal has its own personality, and I’m great at adjusting to their needs. I’d be honored to care for your furry friend like they were my own!

Hello! I'm Maia-Maria and I live in Bury, Manchester. I have lived with cats my whole life (21 years as of 2026) until two months ago, when my youngest cat passed away. I miss being with cats a lot so would absolutely love to meet and care for new cats. I have never lived with dogs but I have experience being and playing with them them, including walks. This includes the time I volunteered at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary last summer.I'm able to care for dogs and cats of any age and breed however I have no experience with rabbits or similar animals. I have a small back yard but live near a few lovely parks, woods and reservoirs to make up for it and am willing to look after a cat in my home as well as do overnight stays in your home! I live in a terraced house with my mother and older brother with no other animals so it's quiet and clean.I am a university student studying music so I'm not available all day every day but I can do weekends, holidays, and some mornings and evenings!I can provide visits (including feeding and medication) for up to an hour depending on the day, over-night stays at the owner's home, and walks for an hour plus. I am energetic and physically fit and can do heavy-lifting. I do not have a car but am happy with public transport.I have no allergies or restrictions of any kind so I can play, cuddle and do whatever your pet may require. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello! My name is Harriet, and I'm a friendly, dependable pet sitter with a real passion for caring for animals. I know how much your pets mean to you, so I always make it my priority to ensure they feel happy, relaxed, and loved while you're away.Whether your pet needs a long walk, feeding, playtime, medication, or simply some company, I'll care for them with the same love and attention I give my own.I have a beautiful 9-year-old cat called Sooty, who has taught me so much about providing patient and loving care. I also work part-time at a nursery, and spending time with animals is one of my favourite ways to enjoy my free time.I'm fully DBS checked, have my own transport, and I'm happy to travel to provide the care your pet needs.I've built up experience over the past few years by looking after pets for family and friends. This has included dog walking, home visits, feeding, giving medication, and making sure pets have plenty of attention and companionship while their owners are busy or away. My walks are usually around an hour long, and I love getting outdoors with a four-legged friend by my side. Every pet is unique, so I'll always follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine as normal as possible. I'll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in safe hands. Before any booking, I'll arrange a meet-and-greet to get to know you and your pet, discuss their routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before we begin. If you'd like to know more or have any questions, please feel free to send me a message. I'd love the opportunity to care for your furry family member!

I’ve always loved dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for long walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I have grown up around pets such as cats and dogs and I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I have cared for multiple different breeds and sizes so any dog is not an issue for me. I know some dogs are slightly nervous meeting new people which is why i never rush anything when caring for a new dog or force any interactions
I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and day care, with each service tailored to suit your dog’s routine. Walks are available for 30 or 60 minutes and include plenty of exercise, enrichment, fresh water, and lots of attention. Drop-in visits are perfect for feeding, letting your dog out for the toilet, playtime, and giving them company during the day. Day care provides a safe, caring environment where your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.
I’m reliable, patient, and committed to treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m happy to arrange a meet and greet before your first booking so we can discuss your dog’s routine, personality, and any special requirements. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and in safe hands.
