VETERINARY ASSISTANT CERTIFIED. From a very young age, I have shown signs of a huge love for animals. I used to rescue wild animals and I domesticated 7 feral kittens and their mother. I was 8 years old at the time. My whole life revolved around animals. I grew up around German Sheperds. When I was 14 years old I had my own German Shepherd. I trained it and took full care and responsibility for it. I just LOVE dogs, cats and other animals. All breeds and shapes. I live in Watford and I have my own 4 cats and our new addition; toy poodle Coco, who is 8 months old. I love training dogs. I love feeding them, bathing and taking for a long walks. Playing together and cuddling up.
SERVICES I OFFER: I am currently working from home and so very flexible to stay in your house or just visit your pet and feed it or take it for walk. I am fairly flexible during weekends too. 
I would like to offer my availability to look after your cat or your dog or your pet! I offer services such as doggy day care,where I come into your home and look after your dog for the day, take them for walks, provide breakfast and dinner, play a lot! I also offer services such as housesitting,where I come and live in your house for the duration of your holidays so that your cat or dog does not have to be separated from their familiar environment!

My name is Lauren and I am a professional dog groomer. I have run my own grooming business for 8 years and absolutely love being around doggies all day, everyday. 
I offer day, overnight &amp; holiday stays. So if it's just a day out, weekend away, or a nice long break you fancy we would make sure your doggie is loved and looked after from start to finish. Our doggie tends to cuddle up to us at night so sleeping arrangements can be discussed. We have found some doggies prefer the smell of their own bed brought here or some just like a cuddle at night too.
I have my own beautiful American Cocker Spaniel, she is 9 years old and we love her dearly. We also have a lovely cat called Bibbles, he is very chilled with dogs and happy to be around them. Please ask if you prefer your doggy to meet our pets before their stay as we want to make sure they are happy and chilled.
My passion as a young child was always to work with animals so after completing my Level 3 course in Dog grooming I made the plunge to go out on my own and it was the best thing I ever did. 
We are lucky enough to be a very well known salon in the area with a very high customer retention and rating. This is due to the standard of care and effort we make with all doggies, always making sure we go the extra mile and this is the care I will give to your pets when they stay with me. We have a spacious garden area with a big sunbathing bed that our doggies tend to love. Our doggie gets two walks a day so depending on the age/ability of your pet they would have the same. 
We are lucky to be surrounded by excellent walks with our favourite being the Chiltern Hills. Surrounded by many pet friendly places so your doggie would have a real holiday here just like they deserve.
After their lovely stay, we could also finish with a nice pamper groom or bath to finish off their holiday. (Owners decision)

Lap of Luxury is a local, independent company, based in Amersham, specialising in the provision of boutique day and overnight care for your beloved companions. We provide a range of services designed to make your dog as happy, stimulated and comfortable as possible.
We focus on gentle socialisation and playing, with many young dogs not having been able to socialise enough during Covid lockdowns. If you continue to work from home, it can be helpful for your dog to have a change of scenery and to meet new people and play with different dogs in a safe and well-supervised environment.

Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.

I’m a proud cat-holic and lifelong cat lover, currently living with my 9-year-old cat, Mung Mung. Over the years, I’ve shared my life with three cats in total, and having loved and cared for them from kittenhood through to their senior years has shaped my deep respect for feline wellbeing. Cats aren’t just pets to me — they’re family, and I care for every cat as if they were my own.
My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from genuine passion. I love understanding cats: their routines, personalities, nutrition, behaviour, and health needs. I previously volunteered at a stray cat shelter and have over five years of experience as a cat sitter, caring for more than 20 cats with a wide range of temperaments and requirements. I have hands-on experience supporting cats with serious liver and kidney conditions, including giving oral medication, injections, and hand-feeding when needed.
I’m happy to feed, play, clean litter trays, and keep your home tidy while you’re away. I also enjoy taking cute photos to help owners feel connected and reassured. For boarding services, I only accept fully vaccinated cats to ensure everyone’s safety. If you have questions, worries, or just want to talk cats, I’m always glad to help.&nbsp;

I have a deep understanding of dogs, particularly sighthounds and their needs, sensitivity &amp; prey drive, as I grew up with 2 gorgeous whippets - Dolly &amp; Tommy. I also had 3 cats so I have a great knowledge of feline care.
I have worked in the Film &amp; TV industry for 6 years and have decided to transition into the pet care field, driven by my genuine passion for animals. I am fully available and flexible to accommodate drop in visits &amp; walking needs at very short notice. I also offer doggy day care &amp; overnight boarding for small to medium sized dogs &amp; sighthounds of any size. I have been offering my services since the end of last year through other pet care platforms. I also often undertake paid home visits for pets belonging to my friends &amp; family whilst they’re at work or on holiday. I am a very reliable, trustworthy and respectful person.
I love tailoring walks and activities to each dog and their needs. I’m able to provide great exercise for both bigger &amp; high energy dogs, and great exercise for smaller / low energy dogs. I am very well versed in a good game of fetch &amp; frisbee but also aware some dogs just want a good old sniff around during their walks!
