For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Dalgety Bay for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Dalgety Bay Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Dalgety Bay sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I have returned to Edinburgh, having done a spell in London.
I have been looking after dogs, cats and even a rabbit whilst in London, and really enjoyed it! Whilst I dwell on getting my own pet very soon and have a hybrid working week, I am available to pet sit in the area or even back in London if I can stay as my work has an office in London too.
I have grown up with pets and adore them. I often look after my family's 2 cocker spaniels and cat. I enjoy their company and take joy from their happiness and fun little quirks and personalities. I joined pawshake to add spark to my days.
I wfh 2/3 days and am happy to travel within range by public transport. I can take 2 dogs at a time for walks for up to 45 minutes in the morning and/or evenings. Two walks a day, or three at weekends. At the weekends, walks can be longer and at any time. Whilst wfh, I can supervise the pet 24/7. I can send you as many updates as you like and keep in regular contact with you.
I hope I get the opportunity to look after your pet. If you have any questions about my experience, I am more than happy to assist.

I grew up with lots of animals. I can't see my life without them.
They taught me kindness, compassion and loyalty.
My best friend was a boxer and when she passed on, I lost half of myself. This is when I decided I wouldn't spend another day without animals nearby. I empathise with animals in a way I cannot describe. I have a special bond with them. It is a fulfilling experience to meet and take care of each new friend. This is why I have decided that pet sitting is the right path! I do have a bus pass. I can get everywhere in and around Edinburgh with ease.
I had two dogs and three cats. I am confident in taking care of and meeting each animal's specific needs. Making sure to keep up with any set routines, such as exercise and dietary requirements/restrictions.
I am great at identifying the energy of each animal and matching their pace. Whether it is a puppy with lots of energy who needs more play or a senior who needs a bit more patience. I will work hard to create the right type of relationship that can be both caring for the animal and understanding of any boundaries you may have previously set. I am excited to meet new furry friends and put your mind at ease knowing they are in good hands.

I have 5 years experience of looking after dogs and have 2 of my own at home who are very friendly (but also respect space if your dog doesn’t want to play). I also have experience of looking after dogs with different needs, temperaments and enjoy providing a tailored space where your dog can be comfortable and happy. I love looking after dogs and providing an environment in which they can thrive. Rest assured your dog will be well looked after on walks and pet care while you are away, so you can relax knowing they will have undivided attention and understanding ️

I work one week on, one week off so will be available for boarding and day care on my off weeks. Your dog will receive a walk between 7-8am, a walk before lunch, a longer lunchtime walk, a later afternoon walk, evening and short walk before bed so they can pee. Will accommodate walking schedule and walk lengths to your dogs needs 🫶 for drop in visits or walks only I can do this on the weeks I am working as well (my calendar only references availability for full time day care and boarding) so the schedule is open.

Please note I am only able to board dogs under 5kg (as my smallest is 1.8kg) and will require to see vaccination cards. Thank you

Any home feels a little empty without a pet, luckily growing up my home was never without one (several actually), but sadly since moving to Edinburgh I do not have any. Pet sitting gives me a great opportunity to spend time with loving fur friends, enjoy their unique mannerisms, and maybe go out for some nice walks! I don't have any character requirements I just want them to be themselves, whether your pet is energetic, shy, indifferent, growly, etc. It’s more about company, safety and care. Trust is earned and I put the time in to adapt to different pet’s needs and behaviours, with the hope they will feel comfortable and at home with me :)
I have always enjoyed caring for animals and the range of experience I have had branches from domestic animals to wildlife, with a diploma in animal management to support my interest. I have been intermittently pet sitting throughout the years, but more major roles include animal rescue work, habitat conservation, protection of endangered birds, and kennels and cattery work - so quite a mix. During this time, I have cared for various species and breeds; reptiles, dogs, rabbits, cats, and often dealt with behavioural difficulties or anxiety in animals.
I have listed the option of home boarding, having a small but cosy 1st floor flat in Edinburgh centre with aspacious communal garden. There is a little spare room in my flat that works nicely as a space for pets staying, and there are plenty of spots to retreat to/climb up for their own space. My primary job is a professional cleaner so you can also expect a high standard of cleanliness for your pet. To stay with me pets must be vaccinated and have up to date cards, so I hope that's okay :)
My adventures and highlights from pet sitting experiences will be featured on my profile for your enjoyment, and I hope you choose me to be your pet’s new friend!
Thanks for reading.
