For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Dunfermline for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Dunfermline Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Dunfermline sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I’m a Dog lover that used to own an yorkshire terrier, that sadly passed away end of January and we just love dogs and we believe that this could be an amazing experience for me and my 6 year old daughter.

I’m an accountant, working from home - the only times i have to go in the office is Tuesday and Wednesday but i finish work at 3pm ️

I have a fenced garden and dog will be always supervised and well looked after, being treated as my own and part of the family.

A typical day for a pet boarding app starts with morning walks and feeding, followed by playtime with toys, socialization, training games, cuddle sessions, and afternoon naps. Pets enjoy enrichment activities like puzzle feeders, splash pools, agility courses, or outdoor play in safe, supervised areas. Evening routines include calming walks, grooming, and cozy rest time, ensuring pets feel happy, entertained, and cared for while owners are away. My daughter and i are excited and happy to spend time with dogs as we are missing very much our beloved Yorkshire that we lost.

It’s important to know several details about pets ahead of time to give them the best care possible. This includes:
	•	Dietary needs (specific food, feeding schedule, allergies).
	•	Medical history (medications, vaccinations, chronic conditions).
	•	Behavioral traits (shy, energetic, aggressive, separation anxiety).
	•	Social preferences (good with other pets or prefers alone time).
	•	Daily routines (walk times, sleep habits, favorite toys).
	•	Emergency contacts (vet info and owner’s backup number).

Having this information ensures pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay.

I feel best around animals because they are here and now and usually do what is most important: play, eat, rest :) and we humans often forget these things! (especially when we mature ... playing seems out of reach ... and it's an important thing for our nervous system ...)The animals are for me aslo great teachers of unconditional love.
I love and respect all animals and there is no difference between them, whether it's a magnificent cow or a small rodent in the field. Still, I have my preferences and I am most attracted to cats because of their personality.
In my family home there have always been dogs, who have been the most wonderful friends. Cats have always been present too - we once reached number 14 cats - that was fun!
I have been with my 4 legged feline friend for 14 years who is the love of my life. He is my support and a big component of my happiness. My life philosophy is based mainly on non-harming and respecting all life, which is why I have not eaten meat for 20 years.I love photography and cats are a lovely but not easy subject. In my profile, I add some artistic shots. Animals are always present in my life, even when I travel I always find them on my path.
I would be very happy to expand my circle of friends with more furry creatures.
Feel free to contact me and get to know me!

Hi
I'll tell you a little about myself so you can understand what I do. I've been a veterinary nurse for 4 years and I've also worked as a pet sitter for 2/5 years. I've worked in veterinary clinics and hospitals and animal shelters, so I have experience as an assistant in surgeries, applying and administering medications, performing dressings and other work of that nature. I'm confident in administering medication and treatments (oral, injections, subcutaneous fluids, wound cleaning, etc.).

My services:
• Frequent updates and photos/videos with every visit: I always make it a point to send a little update of your furry friend at each visit or during my stay to give you a peace of mind wherever you are
• A meet and greet before each booking: this gives all of us (including your pet) a chance to get to know each other better, and some time for us to go over your pet's routine together!
• Following your pet's routine: A change in routine can induce a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety for animals, thus I'll make sure to follow your pet's daily routine closely to make them as comfortable as possible while you're away.

Hello! My name is Sárasa.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart — their playful, loving nature inspires me every day. I truly enjoy connecting with them and sharing quiet, joyful moments of care and companionship.

I began pet sitting after noticing how many of my friends and clients felt disheartened about leaving their pets behind when going to work or on holidays. I knew I could offer something special — a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe and understood, and their humans enjoy complete peace of mind knowing their companions are cared for with kindness and attention.

Alongside a professional background in childcare and creative mentorship for children and their adults, I have years of experience caring for animals. This taught me the importance of patience, observation, and gentle communication — qualities I bring to every walk, feeding, playtime, or moment of companionship.

Looking forward to caring for your beloved furry companions.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and pets, and until recently I had my own much-loved black Labrador. I have now been running a small dog walking / pet sitting service for around a year and am very much enjoying it.
I provide reliable dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and other small pets. Walks are available as 30 or 60 minute sessions, tailored to your pet’s needs.
To ensure safety and one-to-one attention, I only offer solo dog walks (unless from the same household) and keep dogs on the lead. Walks take place in your local area, following familiar routes wherever possible. I am patient and experienced with nervous dogs and calm in an emergency.
I understand every pet is different, so I’m always happy to discuss individual routines and requirements. I can also help with small household tasks while you’re away, such as bringing in mail or watering plants.
I currently work part-time in shift work, so I have regular availability on Mondays, as well as flexibility for one-off bookings, ad hoc walks, and holiday cover throughout the week & weekends.
I am Disclosure Scotland checked, fully insured, and certified in canine emergency first aid. I am also currently completing a pet sitting and dog walking diploma.
Your pet will be treated like my own, with care, patience, and attention to their normal routine. I’m also happy to provide regular updates including photos for peace of mind while you’re away.
Home Dog Boarding Information
I am now offering home dog boarding. I am licensed by the City of Edinburgh council. I only board dogs from one household at a time so you know your dog is getting individualised care. Please take a look at my photos to get an idea of our set up. My children are school age and therefore any boarded dog would have to be good with children (the children are experienced with dogs and respectful around them). The children are always supervised when around dogs. If your dog would enjoy a stay in a loving family environment then please get in touch. All dogs must also be vaccinated and up to date with flea & worm treatments.
