For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in East Calder for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local East Calder Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving East Calder sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi! I'm a friendly, reliable animal lover with over 3 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets, so I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away.
Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or just having someone around to keep them company, I'm happy to adapt to their individual needs and routine. I have experience with pets of all ages and personalities and will care for them as if they were my own. I used to have hamsters of my own so I am comfortable with smaller pets too.I have a big 3 bed house with a grassy garden and nearby open parks for them to play. I often offer 30-60 minute walks and have experience administrating medicine to pets. I am happy tostay overnight at your house for holidays and longer periods of time or can accommodate your pet at my house. My partner drives and can transport all their things of needed. My daily routine is a slow morning and pet sitting in the afternoon followed by work in the evening as a bartender/waitress in a local restaurant. I work 3-4 days a week on the weekends so I have time during the week to take care of pets.
I know how reassuring it is to receive updates while you’re away, so I’m always happy to share messages and photos to give you peace of mind. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and capable hands. I can't wait to meet you and your pets!

I am delighted to offer my services to care for your beloved furry friend, whether a dog or another pet, according to your specific instructions. With experience in tending to special needs dogs and administering medication, your pet will be in capable hands. Having volunteered at a dog and cat center, I am available at your earliest convenience and am able to provide 24/7 care and supervision as I am mostly at home.
Dogs hold a special place in my heart as I have had a male black dachshund since the age of six. I find them to be loyal and playful companions who are always up for a cuddle. I am adaptable and possess a Disclosure should it be required.
Having taken care of both family and friends' dogs of varying breeds and ages, I am always interested in getting to know their personalities and behaviours. My personality is often described as calm, outgoing, entertaining, caring, fun, and curious. I am attentive to detail and strive to provide the best possible experience for everyone who enters my home. I enjoy taking walks and exploring the outdoors, but I also relish the opportunity to play with and snuggle your pet.
For me, spending time with a pet is far more valuable and therapeutic than any monetary gain. I live alone in a ground-floor one-bedroom apartment located in Edinburgh City Centre. With four gardens and parks nearby, including Holyrood Park and The Meadows, your pet will have plenty of space to roam and explore.
Offering a range of services available via Pawshake, depending on requirements. Please do get in touch to have a conversation and seek further details.
Many thanks.

Hello Everyone! My name is Krasha. I am a animal lover and have experience caring for cats, dogs, and other pets. I currently have a little kitten in my home and I love spending time with all kinds of animals. I have a kitten at home also, she is abit shy but full of curiosity. She is only 7.5 months at the moment. So would be great if your pet can stay with cat:)

I offer pet sitting services, such as feeding, cleaning, and playing with your pets to keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away. I also make sure they will be safe and comfortable. I’m currently working part-time, and pet sitter, so we might need to discuss the suitable time but it’s usually easy to find a good time that works for both of us.

I also love taking photos of pets, so if you don’t mind, I can share some cute close-up shots of your furry friends while I’m looking after them!

Feel free to reach out and ask questions. I’m happy to help take care of your pets and make sure they get lots of love and attention.️️️

As you can see from my pictures, I have tons of experience with pets. I am a star sitter on another pet sitting app and have completed over 150 bookings - boarding, house sitting, dog walks and cat drops in. - happy to send over testimonials!

I absolutely adore being around pets as they bring me such joy and comfort. I would love to give you a helping hand whether that be walks, drop ins or house sitting etc. I am very reliable and proactive.

I have been a member on a similar pet sitting app and have competed over 25 wonderful sits. I am a 5 star sitter ( happy to send over my reviews), and have completed assignments in Scotland, London and even Portugal. I have pet sat for all sorts of cats and dogs. Many have been French bulldogs, springers, terriers, greyhounds for example - I have experience with more anxious animals, older pets, very energetic pets - all sorts :)

I am based in Trinity/ Newhaven. I have wardie bay and Starbank park all on my doorstep

I am a student who’s grown up around animals and genuinely loves caring for them. I’ve lived with a dog for 5 years, a cat for 2 years, so I’m comfortable looking after pets with different routines and personalities. My daily care usually includes regular walks, feeding on schedule and making sure pets get plenty of attention and affection. I’m used to keeping pets happy, healthy, and relaxed as part of everyday life.
I live in a house with both a front garden and a secure backyard, which gives pets plenty of space to enjoy fresh air and play safely.
I decided to become a pet sitter because I really enjoy caring for animals and helping owners feel at ease when they’re away. I’m responsible, easygoing, and always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well looked after. I’m happy to stick closely to your pet’s routine and give them plenty of attention....

I have returned to Edinburgh, having done a spell in London.
I have been looking after dogs, cats and even a rabbit whilst in London, and really enjoyed it! Whilst I dwell on getting my own pet very soon and have a hybrid working week, I am available to pet sit in the area or even back in London if I can stay as my work has an office in London too.
I have grown up with pets and adore them. I often look after my family's 2 cocker spaniels and cat. I enjoy their company and take joy from their happiness and fun little quirks and personalities. I joined pawshake to add spark to my days.
I wfh 2/3 days and am happy to travel within range by public transport. I can take 2 dogs at a time for walks for up to 45 minutes in the morning and/or evenings. Two walks a day, or three at weekends. At the weekends, walks can be longer and at any time. Whilst wfh, I can supervise the pet 24/7. I can send you as many updates as you like and keep in regular contact with you.
I hope I get the opportunity to look after your pet. If you have any questions about my experience, I am more than happy to assist.

I grew up with lots of animals. I can't see my life without them.
They taught me kindness, compassion and loyalty.
My best friend was a boxer and when she passed on, I lost half of myself. This is when I decided I wouldn't spend another day without animals nearby. I empathise with animals in a way I cannot describe. I have a special bond with them. It is a fulfilling experience to meet and take care of each new friend. This is why I have decided that pet sitting is the right path! I do have a bus pass. I can get everywhere in and around Edinburgh with ease.
I had two dogs and three cats. I am confident in taking care of and meeting each animal's specific needs. Making sure to keep up with any set routines, such as exercise and dietary requirements/restrictions.
I am great at identifying the energy of each animal and matching their pace. Whether it is a puppy with lots of energy who needs more play or a senior who needs a bit more patience. I will work hard to create the right type of relationship that can be both caring for the animal and understanding of any boundaries you may have previously set. I am excited to meet new furry friends and put your mind at ease knowing they are in good hands.

I have 5 years experience of looking after dogs and have 2 of my own at home who are very friendly (but also respect space if your dog doesn’t want to play). I also have experience of looking after dogs with different needs, temperaments and enjoy providing a tailored space where your dog can be comfortable and happy. I love looking after dogs and providing an environment in which they can thrive. Rest assured your dog will be well looked after on walks and pet care while you are away, so you can relax knowing they will have undivided attention and understanding ️

I work one week on, one week off so will be available for boarding and day care on my off weeks. Your dog will receive a walk between 7-8am, a walk before lunch, a longer lunchtime walk, a later afternoon walk, evening and short walk before bed so they can pee. Will accommodate walking schedule and walk lengths to your dogs needs 🫶 for drop in visits or walks only I can do this on the weeks I am working as well (my calendar only references availability for full time day care and boarding) so the schedule is open.

Please note I am only able to board dogs under 5kg (as my smallest is 1.8kg) and will require to see vaccination cards. Thank you

Hi
My name is Lisa and I live in a spacious house with a big grassy enclosed garden with plenty of parks and beaches nearby like Beecraigs Country Park & Blackness and Portobello beach. There is a large park with lots of trails for walking less than 2 minutes from my home.
I live with my 3-year-old Cockapoo Evie, who is very sociable and friendly, and my daughter, who loves being around all animals. As part of the introduction your pet will be introduced to my dog to make sure they are compatible and can spend time together
I grew up with dogs and cats and have been a cat mum and a dog mum for over 15 years. Animals give you that unconditional love that makes bonding so special. Many of my pets have also been rescue so I know the special attention some pets need.
I only take 1 dog at a time so your pet is guaranteed to get all the love and attention they do at home. I also work part-time from home, so your pet will never be left alone for any significant period of time.
You can expect plenty of photo updates, an introductory visit and a discussion on whatever your pet needs. My usual daily routine involves at least 3 walks a day plus lots of playtime and cuddles. My home and it's furniture! Is fully accessible for dogs and if your dog loves to snuggle on the couch or bed that's fine too.
I'm committed to providing a safe, loving and fun home for your pet so you both can look forward to a holiday and change of environment.
I only take vaccinated pets who have been neutered (females will be considered on individual basis). I will also, for my own safety and my family's, take dogs who show no aggression and have no major behavioural problems.
Don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss how I can provide your pet with a great holiday.

Any home feels a little empty without a pet, luckily growing up my home was never without one (several actually), but sadly since moving to Edinburgh I do not have any. Pet sitting gives me a great opportunity to spend time with loving fur friends, enjoy their unique mannerisms, and maybe go out for some nice walks! I don't have any character requirements I just want them to be themselves, whether your pet is energetic, shy, indifferent, growly, etc. It’s more about company, safety and care. Trust is earned and I put the time in to adapt to different pet’s needs and behaviours, with the hope they will feel comfortable and at home with me :)
I have always enjoyed caring for animals and the range of experience I have had branches from domestic animals to wildlife, with a diploma in animal management to support my interest. I have been intermittently pet sitting throughout the years, but more major roles include animal rescue work, habitat conservation, protection of endangered birds, and kennels and cattery work - so quite a mix. During this time, I have cared for various species and breeds; reptiles, dogs, rabbits, cats, and often dealt with behavioural difficulties or anxiety in animals.
I have listed the option of home boarding, having a small but cosy 1st floor flat in Edinburgh centre with aspacious communal garden. There is a little spare room in my flat that works nicely as a space for pets staying, and there are plenty of spots to retreat to/climb up for their own space. My primary job is a professional cleaner so you can also expect a high standard of cleanliness for your pet. To stay with me pets must be vaccinated and have up to date cards, so I hope that's okay :)
My adventures and highlights from pet sitting experiences will be featured on my profile for your enjoyment, and I hope you choose me to be your pet’s new friend!
Thanks for reading.
Helen
