"We were going away and had dog care arranged through a family member, however one week before our holiday, we were let down. I googled many local dog boarding places but as you can imagine a week before they were fully booked. I then stumbled across pawshake and so signed up.
I found Sinèad, she seemed like a real animal lover from her profile and she was available, plus only a 5 minute drive away - perfect.
We arranged a meet and greet - Sinead was very pleasant, answered our questions and asked us about our rules regarding our dog on furniture etc - because she liked the home from home experience and happy for him to fully roam around.
Sinead confirmed she'd be happy to look after our dog but I didn't feel pressured to book with her.
I booked a 5 night stay and we had family either side. We explained to Sinead that family would do the drop off and collection which wasn't a problem.
The stay itself - Sinead sent photos and messaged to confirm his arrival and sent daily photos throughout his stay.
Many of the photos we're taken inside and one outside on a walk. Our dog was wearing his harness in most photos - but Sinead explained she did take it off but helped with toileting and opening her door etc. It was nothing major but an observation we had.
Sinead told us that Toby had settled well and often told us he was being good (he's a 2 year old cocker spaniel so he can often be a bit cheeky and playful so I worried someone else may find him too naughty)
We had never left him with anyone outside of family or friends, so I was very anxious about leaving him in a strange place and new person. It is difficult to know fully from photos alone, and it would have helped my nerves abit more if we had some added communication regarding his walks or general day to day play, but on the whole he did seem to be settled and made himself comfy on the sofa.
Collection was as agreed and Sinead messaged to confirm that Toby had been collected and also mentioned his food was running low, which was fine as I'd only given enough for his stay. Sinèad also kindly offered to drop round his dog bed the following day, as my sister had her little one and doesn't drive and thought it would be easier.
Overall, our first dog care experience was easy to book, straightforward with tracked communication and a pleasant experience.
Would I use Sinèad again - yes.

"Blanche is a wonderful dog-sitter who absolutely adores the dogs in her care. Nothing is too much trouble - from food, to games and walks, and even medical care if needed (one of my dogs had recently had an operation). She sent a twice-daily update while we were away, with photos and even videos! So we could see how relaxed and happy the dogs were. I would thoroughly recommend Blanche - she is worth her weight in gold! "

A fantastic space for dogs at his house and some great spaces for dog walks nearby.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him enough and will 100% be using him again!
We were really able to enjoy our time away as we knew our Dog was so well cared for!

"Grace is a superb pet sitter.
She is clearly highly experienced with dogs and wanted to know all about our pet Niky before having him.
She is very friendly , calm and great around dogs and humans.
The house is ideal and she has a great enclosed garden.
The communication during his stay was outstanding we had regular messages ,photos and videos to show how settled he was, this was really reassuring.
We will definitely be asking Grace to look after Niky again"

"Our pup Zola stayed with Byron for a few days while we went away for a weekend. I was looking for a new pet sitter after ours stopped boarding and I hated how stressful kennels made our dog.
When we met him for our meet and greet he was very friendly and he and his family clearly knew a lot about animals.
While we were away he sent me photos of how Zola was getting on and gave me the peace of mind to know that she was in a very safe and loving environment.
When we got back it was clear that Zola had had a great time. I could not have asked for a better service and 100% will be booking again. Thank you so much Byron and family for looking after our pup! I hope to see you again when we go away next. 😊"

"Our Cavapoo Luna had great fun at Chloe’s house during her one week stay. Chloe is very experienced and super friendly so we felt comfortable leaving the dog with her for it’s first time away from home.
Chloe sent us pics and videos every day and we could see that Luna was having a great time getting taken for long walks and playing in the back garden with Chloe’s lovely dog Penny.
We would definitely recommend Chloe to anybody looking for a pet stay home away from home."

"Our little dog, Pearl, has just got home from a wonderful 2 week stay with Tanya. We have only ever left her with family before, so I was very nervous! From the moment I first contacted Tanya, she put me at ease and the meet and greet went brilliantly. Tanya took the time to get to know Pearl and she settled in really quickly. Tanya sent lovely, regular pupdates to let us know how Pearl was doing and we could see she was having lots of fun on long walks and playing with the other doggies! I felt so relaxed knowing Pearl was being really well cared for, it was definitely a home from home for her and I don’t think she missed us at all!! Everything about Pearl’s stay from care, communication and making arrangements for drop off and pick up was faultless. Pearl clearly had a great time and was tired out from all the fun when she got home! I would absolutely use Tanya again and will be recommending her to others as well.
