Hello everyone
A little bit about myself, I have a full time job working in finance, flexible and mainly based remotely - working from home. I have always been passionate about things such as nature, travelling, building relationships, sports, walks and of course animals.
I grew up having a few pets, Guinea pig, hamster, cats, my family had dogs so I know how stubborn and supportive German shepherds are, how active Irish setters can be. I have also regularly looked after my friends, family dog(spaniels mainly), I find it very fulfilling.
I don't have a pet of my own now, and I want to continue building this relationship with animals hence I thought this could be a great opportunity for me: I'm interested in dog walking, home visits, ideally small dogs but happy to walk and look after bigger dogs too. I can take in a small/medium size dog at mine if needed (one at the time or two small dogs). Happy to look after some other animals, cats, hamsters, rabbits etc.with regards to boarding, I live at a one bedroom apartment, however, living space is quite spacious - no private garden but we have a communal garden and also some local parks like Inverleith.&nbsp;
I live close to the Inverleith park area so that would be my local spot for walks but I own a car too and happy to take them for a beach walk also. Free parking at my place so it's easy to drop off your pets too.
Happy to meet beforehand as I know it is important to have that connection with a pet but also for you to see me to build trust. I'm responsible and keep my promise with regards to what's agreed, times etc.&nbsp;

I feel best around animals because they are here and now and usually do what is most important: play, eat, rest :) and we humans often forget these things! (especially when we mature ... playing seems out of reach ... and it's an important thing for our nervous system ...)The animals are for me aslo great teachers of unconditional love.
I love and respect all animals and there is no difference between them, whether it's a magnificent cow or a small rodent in the field. Still, I have my preferences and I am most attracted to cats because of their personality.
In my family home there have always been dogs, who have been the most wonderful friends. Cats have always been present too - we once reached number 14 cats - that was fun!&nbsp;
I have been with my 4 legged feline friend for 14 years who is the love of my life. He is my support and a big component of my happiness. My life philosophy is based mainly on non-harming and respecting all life, which is why I have not eaten meat for 20 years.I love photography and cats are a lovely but not easy subject. In my profile, I add some artistic shots. Animals are always present in my life, even when I travel I always find them on my path.&nbsp;

I'll tell you a little about myself so you can understand what I do. I've been a veterinary nurse for 4 years and I've also worked as a pet sitter for 2/5 years. I've worked in veterinary clinics and hospitals and animal shelters, so I have experience as an assistant in surgeries, applying and administering medications, performing dressings and other work of that nature. I'm confident in administering medication and treatments (oral, injections, subcutaneous fluids, wound cleaning, etc.).&nbsp;

• Frequent updates and photos/videos with every visit: I always make it a point to send a little update of your furry friend at each visit or during my stay to give you a peace of mind wherever you are
• A meet and greet before each booking: this gives all of us (including your pet) a chance to get to know each other better, and some time for us to go over your pet's routine together!
• Following your pet's routine: A change in routine can induce a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety for animals, thus I'll make sure to follow your pet's daily routine closely to make them as comfortable as possible while you're away.

With experience in tending to special needs dogs and administering medication, your pet will be in capable hands. My name is Lisa and I live in a house with a big enclosed garden with plenty of parks and beaches nearby like Beecraigs Country Park &amp; Blackness and Portobello beach.
I live with my 3-year-old Cockapoo, who is very sociable and friendly, and my daughter, who loves being around all animals. As part of the introduction  your pet will be introduced to my dog to make sure they are compatible and can spend time together
I grew up with dogs and cats and have been a cat mum and a dog mum for over 15 years. Animals give you that unconditional love that makes bonding so special. Many of my pets have also been rescue so I know the special attention some pets need.
I only take 1 dog at a time so your pet is guaranteed to get all the love and attention they do at home. I also work part-time from home, so your pet will never be left alone for any significant period of time.
You can expect plenty of photo updates, an introductory visit and a discussion on whatever your pet needs. My usual daily routine involves at least 3 walks a day plus lots of playtime and enrichment activities like sniffing balls and treat mats.
I'm committed to providing a safe, loving and fun home for your pet so you both can look forward to a holiday and change of environment.
I only take vaccinated pets who have been neutered (females will be considered on individual basis). I will also, for my own safety and my family's, take dogs who show no aggression and have no major behavioural problems.
