2 bedroom house, with enclosed garden, based in the SO31 area of Southampton (Netley Abbey) - able to drive to you or provide a pick up and drop off service if needed.

About our family/household (no children):
Dog:

  Teddie:&nbsp;A playful, friendly &amp; snuggly 3-year-old male dog (Dachshund) - chemically castrated. 
  Willow: A sweet, snuggly &amp; gentle natured 9-month-old (as of July '26) dog (miniature dachshund). 

Cats:
Typically found snoozing in their bedroom. Safety gate in place in case separation is needed for them or your pooch/peace of mind: 

  Niko:&nbsp;An affectionate 3-year-old male cat (domesticated short hair).
  Nellie:&nbsp;An affectionate but shy 4-year-old female cat (domesticated short hair).
  Nala:&nbsp;A loving but lazy 4-year-old female cat (domesticated short hair).


I am 48 years old and have always had a deep love and respect for dogs.&nbsp;
We have 2 kids (8 &amp; 11 yeras old). We have our own house with fenced garden and my family loves dogs.
For 15 years, I shared my life with a wonderful Weimaraner who was truly part of my family. Sadly, she passed away a few months ago, and although I miss her every day. I feel grateful for the many years of joy, loyalty, and companionship she brought me.&nbsp;
Since then, I have realised how much I miss the daily routines of caring for a dog, the long walks, the playtime, and the small moments of connection that make dogs such amazing companions.
Dogs are devoted, loving, and bring so much happiness into our lives, and I would love the opportunity to give your pet the same care and attention.&nbsp;
I now have some spare time and can dedicate myself fully to ensuring your dog feels safe, happy, and well looked after while in my care.

Hi! My names Rachel I'm 25, I've been a dog walker &amp; dog boarder for nearly 5 years now. I run my own dog walking business and have done for 4 years. I'm very passionate about dogs, I love spending all my time getting to know all the dogs I can. Your dog will have so much fun with me on my daily group walks! I have my very own little doggy too he's very friendly and loves all dogs! 
I walk and look after dogs all ages and sizes from toy to large! I have a load of experience. My home is their home whilst they're staying with me. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with people, dogs &amp; is vaccinated before their stay with me. 
As a full time dog walker, your dog will enjoy two - three group walks a day with other similar dogs that are all super friendly. They will get lots of love and attention at home, I have so many toys and games they can play with as well as a doggy pool in the garden. I like the dogs I look after to feel as home as they can during their stay with me. 
I will send you photos &amp; videos everyday of your dog hang loads of fun too!!

I am fully insured &amp; council licensed with a 4* rating (highest star rating possible) so know that your dog will be taken care of at a high standard with lots of love. 
Just to make it clear the services I provide is dog walking group or solo walks , dog sitting , dog boarding in my home, drop in services to your home for dogs or any small animals, if they need feeding or just caring for if you're out for the day.  I also provide day care for dogs at my home not just overnight stays. 
I have recently brought a house in Cosham (January 2025) it's super dog friendly with lots of dog beds, dog toys, a safe garden space with 6' fences all round, toys in the garden as well as a small dog pool for when it's hot. I've also got lots of enrichment &amp; puzzle toys to stimulate the dogs while they're with me. I'm very relaxed with having dogs with me my home is also their home, the dogs are allowed on all the furniture like they would be at home. I have a load of treats (if the dog is allowed them) to share with them. I will send you my address and you're more than welcome to come round before the visit to see where your dog is staying. I have had dogs all my life, and I had a family cat from November to when I moved out in April! I have had three large/giant breed dogs and I had a 3 legged rabbit for 8 years who is greatly missed! I bathed my dogs many times and towards the end of their lives had to think of new ways to try and give them medications. My old dog was a nervous and reactive dog, so I always took great care when she was out walking in the neighbourhood, and I was always careful with my friendly dog due to other dogs' reactivity on walks.
I live with my partner and have no pets in our home permanently, as it is a bit small for an animal full-time! I am available for dog walking and pet sitting in client homes. I also work with children and young people, so I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate! I have a Level 3 Animal Care and Management BTEC, and originally wanted to be a veterinary nurse, but decided it was not for me. If needed, I can bathe and give animals a brush, provided this is recommended for them and the products are provided, e.g. no bathing rabbits or cats. I do also have a car with a dog cover so if longer walks are needed then please request these!
I love animals and have done since I was young. There have been a variety of animals in my home, like hamsters, ferrets, rats, rabbits and I have grown up with smaller dogs also! I would like to be a sitter at the moment on the weekends to earn a little bit of money, what better way to spend the day than with animals!Please note that if any specific requests are needed for 24 hour care then to discuss this with me individually as I may need to ask for a higher price e.g. certain hours or more than one pet at the home.


SJ's Sofa4Sighthounds is a 5* licensed home boarding facility exclusively for sighthounds. We are in the PO13 area, close to Fareham.
Whilst you are away for the day, a weekend, or a week or two, we can provide your sighthound with lots of comfort, company and safe walks.
Our resident dog is a 10 year old lurcher called Penny. We have 2 dog savvy children, the youngest is 10. Our back garden is a secure space for zoomies.
We are with the dogs at night too, to ensure they are warm and settled, and the particularly needy ones are welcome to snuggle if they wish.
Dogs will remain on leads when out and about with us. They will wear a Tractive GPS tracker on their collar throughout their stay with us.
Drop off and collection must be agreed by prior arrangement, (children and neighbours to consider).
