Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Aberdour home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Aberdour.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Aberdour home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m Ashley, a friendly and reliable pet sitter and dog walker based in Dunfermline. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, from laid back pets to dogs that are full of beans. I’ve looked after dogs, cats and small pets, and I also have my own cockapoo, Roux. He’s sociable, relaxed around other animals and used to sharing space with visiting pets.

I like to keep things simple, calm and safe. I follow each pet’s usual routine, give them plenty of company, and make sure they get the walks and attention they’re used to at home. I have great walking spots nearby, including parks, forest paths and quieter areas for dogs that prefer their own space. Whether your pet needs reassurance, playtime or just someone to keep them company during the day, I’m happy to work around their individual needs and help them feel settled.

I’ll keep you updated while you’re away so you always know how your pet is doing. I only board fully vaccinated pets.

Hello! My name is Sárasa.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart — their playful, loving nature inspires me every day. I truly enjoy connecting with them and sharing quiet, joyful moments of care and companionship.

I began pet sitting after noticing how many of my friends and clients felt disheartened about leaving their pets behind when going to work or on holidays. I knew I could offer something special — a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe and understood, and their humans enjoy complete peace of mind knowing their companions are cared for with kindness and attention.

Alongside a professional background in childcare and creative mentorship for children and their adults, I have years of experience caring for animals. This taught me the importance of patience, observation, and gentle communication — qualities I bring to every walk, feeding, playtime, or moment of companionship.

Looking forward to caring for your beloved furry companions.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been lucky enough to share my life with pets from a young age. Growing up in Asia, I often fostered and cared for stray cats, and when my family moved back to Scotland, we welcomed a golden retriever puppy and two golden Persian kittens, who I helped care for throughout their lives.
In my 20s, my husband and I raised two golden retriever puppies, and although moving back to the UK meant we had to rehome them, I stayed closely connected with their new families and followed their journeys.
More recently, after starting our family, we added Millie the ragdoll cat, and four years ago we welcomed Cosmo, our much-loved retriever cross. With over 15 years of experience, I’m calm, confident, and caring with dogs and cats of all ages, and love giving them the love and attention they deserve.
I work full-time but outside of work, I'm available for dog 30+ min road or parkland walks and pet drop-ins.
Happy to feed and play with your pets, plus give plenty of cuddles.
