Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Annfield Plain home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Annfield Plain.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Annfield Plain home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello! My name is Thea and I offer a pet sitting service specifically for cats, where I will visit your home to look after your cat(s) while you are away. I am based in Chester-le-Street, but can travel as far as Durham, Newcastle, or Bishop Auckland if needed. The duration of single visits is about 1 hour, but you can book me for double visits which means I will come twice a day (perfect if your kitties are used to being fed in the morning and evening), or overnight which means I will spend the full 24 hours around your cat, which I know can be reassuring to some people whose feline friends require an extra amount of attention. I have been around pets my entire life, and have owned a cat (on occasion several cats) since the age of 7. I know from experience how difficult it can be to leave your pet when going away, so I would love to help ease this process and make both you and your feline friend's experience apart as comfortable and stress-free as possible by providing them with the utmost care and attention during your time away. I know that every cat is different and always take the time to get to know the cat's own set of needs and ways of communicating. I have previous experience looking after kitties, including shy and aloof cats who tend to warm to me in their own way. If you choose me as your next cat sitter I will make sure your kitty is well taken care of, and will send daily pictures and updates of our time together. I offer daily visits to your home so that your cat can feel comfortable in its own environment, and can also do overnight stays. I am usually available in the morning and early afternoon, but can be made available other times of day if needed. I am also happy to water plants and collect mail. I look forwards to hearing from you!:)

Hi! My name is Danuta, but I usually go by Danka. Nice to meet you! I'm a 31 years old Polish pet lover and I've been living in North East of England for over 11 years. Currently located in Gateshead, Bensham.
I have always loved pets. I remember when as a child my cousin asked me what would I do if I was super rich when I grow up and I said - I would have a house full of pets! I do not have much experience working as a paid pet sitter but from young age I was a co-owner of fish, rabbit and a dog. Unfortunately my current situation is not suitable for having a pet but I always happily care for my friends furry babies such as dogs, cats and rabbits, when they go away or simply need a favour. I thought, why not turn it into something more and become a pet sitter! What a dream job!
I offer overnight stays (at owners house as my landlord doesn't allow pets). I'm happy to clean your pets litter box or cage, feed them, play with them, even water your plants. Hope I didn't forget about anything!
I work shifts in my main job, where I work as a support worker, so my availability depends on my work rota.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet!

I am also near to complete a Grooming course so can offer this service also.I look after pets & homes as if they were my own, with 11yrs experience in UK & Australia before returning back to the UK to continue my pet care & pet sitting experiences. I have many 5* reviews, references, fully insured & DBS checked. I have many photos with beautiful pets in my care. I am reliable, responsible & professional, I take it seriously as I know how much pets are part of the family. Please contact for anymore info, to arrange a local meet & greet, facetime or to book via this site:Thanks,Tanya

My name is Christina.

I provide boarding and day care when you can't be there.
I absolutely love all animals and I have over 15 years of personal and professional experience with animals.
I love animals and would love to help out when you need your fur-babies looked after. I have a lot of experience with dogs with high energy. Your fur-babies would be in good hands. I am reliable and trustworthy, available any day of the week and will try to work around you where possible. I can do walks last minute and am always happy to spend the night with your pet if you can't be there. I am now happy to say I’m boarding animals - so what ever you need, I’m happy to help. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer your concerns. I do have small children so all animals staying need to be ok with kids and I never leave the animals alone with the children.

I have a large house with plenty of room and a medium size garden.

I’m home full time so your animals wouldn’t be left alone unless going to the shops. I can provide toilet breaks whenever they want to go.

I have a large house with medium size garden that is secure and fenced in. I have small children in the home and the environment is a typical family home.

I am home full time so am able to provide unconditional attention to your pets. They are able to go to the toilet whenever they need too.
